    摘要: The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for the production of a corrugated cardboard product. The apparatus comprises a first one-sided machine and a second one-sided machine which are provided in each case with a press-down belt and with a first and a second grooving roller respectively. The first and the second grooving roller are designed for embossing a wave profile onto a first and a second paper web respectively. The press-down belts serve, together with the respective grooving rollers for connecting the first and the second paper webs in each case to a non-corrugated web for the production of a first and a second single-flute corrugated cardboard web respectively. The first one-sided machine is equipped with a first oblique guide roller the axis of rotation of which is inclined at a vertical inclination angle between side margins of the first paper web.

    摘要: A method of preparing water-resistant corrugated paperboard includes providing a corrugated medium treated with a water-proofing agent on both sides thereof, and providing a liner treated with the water-proofing agent on at least an inner surface thereof. The liner and corrugated medium are adhered, with the inner surface of the liner adhered to the corrugated medium. The liner and corrugated medium are adhered with an adhesive composition comprising carrier starch, uncooked pearl starch, borax, a water-proofing resin, a penetration-enhancing additive, and water. The carrier starch comprises cooked starch and uncooked starch. The liner and corrugated medium are treated with the water-proofing agent prior to adhering the liner and corrugated medium. Due to the use of the particular adhesive composition for adhering the liner and the corrugated medium, use of liner treated with the water-proofing agent is possible with acceptable bonding and preservation of Cobb ratings.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for the vacuum assisted bonding of sections of corrugated cardboard and for manufacturing corrugated cardboard. A pressure plate has a bore for applying a vacuum therethrough. A first section of corrugated cardboard has an orifice which is aligned with the bore in the pressure plate. Adhesive is applied between the first section of corrugated cardboard and a second section of corrugated cardboard and the second section is placed adjacent to the first section away from the pressure plate. A vacuum is applied through the bore in the pressure plate and orifice in the first sections to cause the first and second sections to be drawn and adhered together. In the manufacture of corrugated cardboard, vacuum and optionally hot air are applied to opposite edges of the sandwiched core of fluted linerboard with adhesive and overlaying flat linerboard to draw them together to form the corrugated cardboard.
