摘要： A linear-actuated press machine comprises a press ram with a tool, a first linear actuator having a first actuator rod, a second line actuator having a second linear actuator rod, a high-speed motor coupled to the first linear actuator for providing a high-speed condition on the press ram, a first high-torque motor coupled to the first linear actuator, and a second high-torque motor coupled to the second linear actuator. The press machine (i) advances the tool toward the part by operation of the high-speed motor associated with the first linear actuator, (ii) forms the part with the tool by simultaneous operation of the first high-torque motor associated with the first linear actuator and the second high-torque motor associated with the second linear actuator, and (iii) retracts the tool from the part by operation of the high-speed motor associated with the first linear actuator.

摘要： An oil filter crusher includes an elongated triangular frame, a threaded drive screw, and a ram assembly, but does not include any actuator for driving the screw. Rather, a first end of the drive screw has a drive head to which a user may couple a conventional wrench, such as a pneumatic impact wrench of the type commonly used in automotive service centers. A thrust bearing assembly couples the second end of the drive screw to the ram assembly. A threaded portion of the drive screw engages a threaded opening in a portion of the frame. The ram assembly thus moves in an axial direction in response to rotation of the drive screw with respect to the frame. Rotating the drive screw in one direction moves it toward the filter to be crushed, and rotating it in the opposite direction moves it away from the filter.

摘要： A spindle press in which a lubricant is displaced by relative movement of the threaded spindle and the ram displaced thereby, at least on a return stroke of the ram effected by a fluid operated jack. According to the invention, the press is provided with a control piston which blocks the lubricant flow as the ram approaches a deadpoint position at the end of its return stroke so as to enable the lubricant trapped between the spindle and the ram to damp the end of the return stroke.

摘要： A brake device for a friction press having a flywheel for driving a vertical threaded shaft, the flywheel being positioned between a pair of friction discs, the flywheel being driven in one direction or the other by the respective wheels. The brake device has a brake band generally in the shape of a circular arc which is engagable with the circumference of the flywheel at a position between the friction faces of the friction discs. The brake band is normally to be pressed by a tension spring against the circumference of the flywheel at all positions of the flywheel during its up and down movement, and a hydraulic device is provided which usually acts against the tension of the spring, to hold the brake band away from the flywheel but can apply the brake force instantaneously when necessary by ending the action of the hydraulic device.
