    摘要: Apparatus and method for disassembling a toroidally shaped core is provided. The core is configured to carry a cured tire and includes multiple core segments extending generally radially from a central axis. The apparatus includes a base; one or more segment positioning devices connected for movement relative to the base and operative to move one or more core segments from an assembled core position next to an adjacent core segment around the central axis to a radially inward position; and one or more segment removal devices operatively connected for engaging the one core segment at the radially inward position and removing the one segment from the radially inward position to a remote position external to the core. The segment removal device operatively moves in three axes of motion to relocate the one segment from the remote position to a storage position and deposit the core segment at the storage station in a retrieval-ready orientation. All of the core segments may be moved sequentially in like manner by the segment removal device in order to disassemble the core.

    摘要: A center mechanism (10) for manipulating a bladder (20) in a tire curing press (12) includes a lower plate ring (28) for carrying a lower bead (22) of the bladder (20), and an upper plate ring (60) for carrying an upper bead (24) of the bladder (20). The center mechanism (10) may also include a first piston chamber (45) and a second piston chamber (105) positioned radially interior from the first piston chamber (45). An outer piston assembly (37) is operative to selectively raise the lower plate ring (28) and an inner piston assembly (71) is positioned inside the outer piston assembly (37) and is operative to selectively raise the upper plate ring (60) relative to the lower plate ring (28). A guide (120) is coupled to the outer piston assembly (37) and is adapted to slidingly contact the inner piston assembly (71) to prevent relative rotation therebetween. Operating fluid is provided through a single port (52) to selectively raise the outer piston assembly (37) and the inner piston assembly (71). The port (52) is fluidly connected to the first chamber (45) and the second chamber (105).

    摘要: A method of producing a radial tire for a construction vehicle, the method enabling a vast reduction in facility costs. A first green tire is formed in a first step molding machine and then removed from it. After that, a vulcanizer bladder unit is installed on the tire. The tire is inflated by the vulcanizer bladder unit and then again placed in the first step molding machine with the vulcanizer bladder unit installed. After that, on the first step molding machine, belts and tread rubber are adhered to the outer periphery of the tire to form a completed green tire. Then the completed green tire, with the vulcanizer bladder unit, is assembled in a vulcanizing mold for vulcanization.
