Abstract:
A former holder with a quick-release mechanism for use in latex glove dipping process. A locking mechanism between the former and the holder is provided for enhancing efficiency and performance of the latex glove dipping process. One of the advantages of a former holder with a quick-release mechanism for use in latex glove dipping processes is that the former can be easily removed and replaced from the holder without disruption of the glove manufacturing operation. Furthermore, the attachment between the former and holder is a centralized position which reduces dislodged problems due to vibration, misalignment of the former when passing the stripping machine and avoids an uneven dipping process in a latex dipping tank and a coagulant dipping tank. In addition, the holder with the quick-release mechanism can be easily fitted to an automatic former replacement machine to reduce manpower and safety during replacement.

Abstract:
Provided among other things is a glove formed by latex dipping having one or more textured finger tips wherein: the texture at the finger tips results from forming the glove on a former having the following properties: (micrometer) RaAv. roughnessabout 7-14 RsmMean width of roughnessabout 500-720 RpcPeak countabout 15-20 the glove being non-chlorinated, wherein the glove is a (i) single dip nitrile glove or (ii) a dipped glove with a textured layer formed of polymer latex, and comprising a multivalent metal ion salt of an organic acid with log P of about 4 to about 15.

In a rotationally-molded thermoplastic refuse container of the type having a hollow handle integrally-molded with a refuse-carrying compartment of the container, the improvement which includes a wall integrally-formed with the refuse container and sealingly enclosing the hollow handle from communication with the refuse-carrying compartment of the container for providing greater strength to the container and preventing refuse from lodging in the hollow handles.
Abstract:
An elastic forming die with an aperture section through which a molding material is charged, including a main mold section in membrane form which acts as a female mold for the molded product; a conical section in membrane form which is connected to the aperture section and expands outwardly in the shape of a cone; and an aperture roll section provided at the outer peripheral edge of the cone section, and a method for manufacturing this elastic forming die. Because the elastic forming die is provided with the conical section which is connected to the aperture section and expands outwardly, the release of the molded product from the mold is extremely easy and the elastic forming die can be used to manufacture molded products such as chocolate, jelly, and the like. The molding method using the elastic forming die features the release of the molded product utilizing said cone section.
Abstract:
A one-piece mandrel for making elastomeric articles by a dipping process has a one-piece body which includes at least one opening extending therethrough. A split extends from the opening through a cross-section of the one-piece body. At least a portion of the body adjacent the split is formed of an elastically resilient material to allow the split to open for removal of the elastomeric article after formation, and to cause the split to self-close after removal of the article from the mandrel. Closure of the split forms a substantially continuous molding surface in the immediately vicinity of the split. Proper alignment of the mating surfaces of the split is assured by irregular (non-planar) design of the split surfaces, or by use of an alignment element embedded in the mandrel. In embodiments where a ferro-magnetic alignment element is used, a separate magnetized element may also be embedded in the mandrel to assist in holding the split closed during the dipping process. If necessary or desired, both elements may be magnetized.
Abstract:
An apparatus and process for forming molded articles from particulate plastic material. A hollow heat-conductive male mold is surrounded with particulate plastic material. Heat is applied to the interior of the mold until the temperature of the outer surface is above the fusion temperature and below the melting temperature of the particulate plastic material. This temperature is maintained until an article of desired thickness is formed. Thereafter, loose particulate material is removed from the outer surface of the molded article and heat is again applied to the interior of the mold so as to cause the outer surface of the molded article to become smoother. Finally, the article and mold are cooled and the article is removed from the mold.
