The exercise bar includes a first piece of wood having a first substantially flat surface with a first recess formed in the first substantially flat surface. The exercise bar also includes a second piece of wood having a second substantially flat surface. The second substantially flat surface is configured to mate with the first substantially flat surface and includes a second recess formed in the second substantially flat surface. The second recess is to align with the first recess. Furthermore, the exercise bar includes a weight disposed between the first piece of wood and the second piece of wood. A first portion of the weight fits in the first recess and a second portion of the weight fits in the second recess.

    摘要: The invention provides a method for method for producing construction timber planks, construction timber and laminated planks or beams. The method includes the steps of sawing debarked and plantation dried logs from Eucalyptus trees having a moisture content of 18% or higher into planks having lengths suitable for the next step as described below. The planks are cross cut into lengths of about 0.5 m to 2.5 m and their end edges are profiled for finger jointing. The end edges of a series of profiled planks are joined by longitudinally pressing end edges together using a polyurethane glue to lengths required for construction timber planks.

    摘要: A miter joint assembly system. The system comprises a generally planar assembly plate. A clamping assembly is attached to the assembly plate. At least one drill guide is detachably coupled to the assembly plate at a predetermined orientation. The clamping assembly is configured to releasably secure a first and a second mitered molding to the assembly plate such that the first and second mitered moldings are oriented generally orthogonally to each other. The drill guide is configured to bore a pocket hole and a pilot hole into the first mitered molding, the pocket and pilot holes receiving a fastener to draw and secure the second mitered molding to the first mitered molding.

    摘要: In known methods of preservative or upgrading heat treatment of wood, the starting material (2) is subjected to a selection process in order to select out wood with defects (6) (knots, cracks, resin ducts). A not inconsiderable part of the starting material is hereby not used to obtain thermally preserved wood. According to the invention the defects (6) are sawn out of the starting material, whereafter the remaining defect-free parts (14-1) are once again combined by finger jointing to form larger parts (16). The thus jointed wood structures (16) can be further assembled by lamination into even larger wood structures, the laminated wood structures (18). These can be applied particularly well as exterior cladding or as window or door frame in the building industry.

    摘要: A lumber unscrambler and conveyor having first and second rigid units mounted at an incline on a support structure. Each unit has a plurality of spaced apart parallel plates in series along the incline and parallel thereto. The plates on the respective first and second units are interleaved in alternate relation. The plates have an upper article supporting surface and a leading edge generally transverse to the incline. The leading edge of plates proximate the in-feed end are of greater depth than those further along the path toward the out-feed end. The units are supported on the support structure to move relative thereto and one another. The units are driven in synchronized out of phase relation reciprocating along the inclined path. A hopper at the in-feed end receives and holds a supply of lumber pieces of selected dimension and as the plates reciprocate they move pieces of the lumber from the hopper to the out-feed end discharging normally only a single stick one after another.
