摘要： The present invention provides a method and apparatus to repair gouged out and damaged leading and trailing edges of gas turbine engine blades, particularly fan blades, by cutting away a curved section including the damaged area and forming a blend radius along the repaired edge. The apparatus includes a unique machine tool guide having an adjustable cutting depth guide and mountable to a hand held machine tool driver, such as 90 degree angle head air motor, that drives a rotary cutter.

The apparatus encompasses a machine which is placed against a carpet tile already in position and has spring loaded arms which extend therefrom to a point abutting the wall or door structure to fix the position of a cutter on the apparatus so that it cuts the actual size necessary to fill the gap between the previously laid tile and the wall or door sensed by the spring loaded arms.

摘要： A flash removing method whereby flash is cut off by a reamer which is freely movable while being in contact with polymeric molded products within a predetermined range of pressing force. The reamer is provided with blades having normal clearance angles of substantially zero degree and the flanks of the blades follow the flash-forming region. The reamer is controlled in radial position according to the shape of the polymeric molded product, so that the reamer always receives a constant radial load from the product to leave even traces after the flash removal. A solidified gate is cut off before the flash removal. A flash removing apparatus for performing the method.

摘要： A scribing device and method for generating curves, the term "scribe" encompassing marking a groove on a surface such as with an awl or router, marking a surface with a writing instrument, or cutting into a surface such as with a jigsaw. In one embodiment, the scribing device comprises a generator and a scribing assembly. The generator has a generally flat, upper surface with a groove formed therein, the groove comprising one or more connected, linear or circular segments. The scribing assembly comprises a body having a lower tracing surface shaped to permit sliding movement over the upper surface of the generator. The scribing assembly also includes first and second tracers and means for mounting a scribing instrument. Each tracer includes a follower projecting downward from the tracing surface, and each follower is adapted to slide along the groove. The scribing assembly is moved such that the followers follow the groove, whereby the scribing instrument scribes the curve. The generator may include first and second grooves that are followed by the first and second followers, respectively. The groove or grooves may also be cut directly into the upper surface of a workpiece that is to be scribed.

摘要： A device for the manipulation of workpieces or the like has a stepping transmission with a click-stop setting and located in a gearbox and it regulates two reciprocal motions of the workpiece holding mechanism through cam plates fastened to a drive shaft. A first motion is that of a carriage sliding on the gearbox housing and a second motion is that of a holder guided on the carriage for movement essentially perpendicular to the first motion. Two pair of complementary cam plates is provided on the drive shaft for each motion for the purpose of greater precision of the reproducibility of the prescribed motions. The first pair of complementary cam plates is coupled to the carriage through a first control shaft and a crank assembly consisting of a crank and a coupling, while the second pair of complementary cam plates operates in combination with the holder through a second control shaft. The crank and the coupling in the click-stop setting of the stepping transmission are in a dead center position.

The router bit rises and falls in response to the particular profile of the rails and cuts recesses in an underlying workpiece having shapes dependent on rail contour, bit size and shape and extent of carriage travel. Turntable indexing capabilities facilitate the reproducibility of complex decorative patterns sculptured in the workpiece.
