摘要: A wire electrical discharge machine includes: a multiple number of switching elements connected in parallel with each other and configured to supply the machining current to the electrode gap to perform electrical discharge machining; a multiple number of switches each connected in series with the associated one of the multiple switching elements and configured to cut off each of the multiple switching elements; and a control device configured to perform control when at least one of the multiple switching elements fails so as to disconnect the failed switching elements by means of the associated switches and also change the machining conditions in accordance with the number of the failed switching elements.

摘要: A wire electrical discharge machine recognizes that the finished piece (core) has been separated from the piece of work as a result of electrical discharge machining, allows fluid to be jetted against the finished piece (core) from the lower nozzle so that the finished piece (core) floats upward, recognizes that the finished piece (core) has floated upward by a predetermined amount on the basis of the completion of the process program or the information gained from the sensor, and allows the core removal unit to catch the finished piece (core) for removal and collection after it has been recognized that the finished piece (core) has floated upward by the predetermined amount.

摘要: In a wire electric discharge machine, a discharge delay time is used to classify the inter-electrode state into three categories; a short-circuit state, small-gap state, and large-gap state. Based on this classification, the magnitude of a machining current supplied from a main discharge circuit is determined. If the discharge delay time is zero (i.e., if no electric discharge is generated) after the lapse of a predetermined time since the start of the application of a machining voltage to an inter-electrode gap by an auxiliary discharge circuit, the inter-electrode gap is determined to be short-circuited by machining chips. Thereupon, a short-circuit machining current is supplied from the main discharge circuit to the inter-electrode gap to remove the machining chips. In this way, establishment of a complete short-circuit state is prevented so that the machining efficiency is improved to increase the machining speed.

摘要: A portable movable discharge processing system by short electric arc, comprising a power supply cooling water tank (1), a short electric arc cutting power supply (2), a ring current device (16), a feeding mechanism (17), a hanging bracket and a pneumatic ring current tool (35) mounted on the hanging bracket, which are successively and cooperatively mounted on a horizontal plane; an air compressor (22) and a sewage pump (26), which are successively connected to the feeding mechanism; a self-priming pump (3) and a movable short-electric arc cutting device control cabinet (4), which are successively connected to the air compressor; an anode device (15) which is connected to the movable short-electric arc cutting device control cabinet (4) through an anode cable (6); a cathode device which is connected to the movable short-electric arc cutting device control cabinet (4) through a cathode cable (5); and a water pump which is connected to the anode device through a pipeline. The discharge processing system is convenient to use, low in labor intensity and good in safety.
