摘要: A method of supplying lubricating oil in cold-rolling by emulsion lubrication, characterized by comprising: using a constant (supply efficiency) obtained under conditions of a specific rolling rate, emulsion supply, emulsion concentration, emulsion temperature, plateout length, rolled material width or roll barrel length, rolling load, grade of the rolled material, and type of lubricating oil and oil film thickness at the time of neat lubrication realized under the specific rolling lubrication conditions to estimate the oil film thickness realized by emulsion lubrication under the specific rolling lubrication conditions and controlling at least one of the emulsion supply, emulsion concentration, emulsion temperature, and plateout length so that the estimated oil film thickness matches with the target oil film thickness.

摘要: A roll arrangement for the non-deforming treatment of moving web-type or strip-type products. The arrangement includes at least two rotatable rolls which are adjustable radially relative to each other. The arrangement is used, for example, for drying one or both surfaces of the product. The rolls are axially adjustable in opposite direction and each roll has slightly S-shaped or bottle-shaped contour over the entire length of the roll body, in such a way that the contours of two rolls arranged on both sides of a roll gap complement each other only in a certain relative axial position of these rolls. In other axial positions of the rolls, the roll gap becomes narrower either in the center or at the ends of the rolls, so that a uniform pressing action or other uniform non-deforming treatment of the product is possible over the entire width of the product independently of the bending of the rolls and/or deviations from the plane-parallelism of the surfaces of the product.

摘要: An oil film bearing for rotatably supporting the journal surface of a rolling mill roll neck on a hydrodynamically maintained oil film. The bearing includes a bushing having outlets adapted to axially interrupt the load carrying continuity of the oil film by draining oil from the load zone at locations intermediate to the ends of the bushing, thereby subdividing the load zone into at least two axially separated pressure zones. Position sensors are located between the pressure zones to monitor the spatial relationship or oil film thickness between the bushing and the journal surface. The journal surface is defined by at least two sleeve segments received on and fixed relative to the roll neck. Adjacent ends of the sleeve segments are aligned radially or in a coplanar relationship with the axial separation between the pressure zones. Temperature sensors monitor the temperature of the oil being drained through the aforesaid outlets.
