    摘要: The present invention relates to controlled cooling in manufacture of steel plate, and in particular, to an on-line cooling system for controlled rolling with an inter-pass cooling process, which comprises a rolling mill and on-line cooling equipment. The cooling equipment is accessorily arranged on the exit of the rolling mill, so that the rolling mill and the cooling equipment are combined. One rolling mill and one set of on-line cooling equipment are considered a cooling group, and several such groups are connected in series, so the steel plate can be cooled in any rolling pass. In this invention, both the cooling system and the water supply system are arranged on the main frame, and the rolling process and the cooling process are synchronized by using inter-pass cooling. Consequently, satisfied rolling effect in the condition of a temperature gradient along the thickness direction, grain refinement at the surface and drastic strength improvement without sacrificing toughness are achieved. Besides, better quality of the plate center region is obtained, double bulging is avoided and the yield of steel plate is improved due to the higher deformation permeability.

    摘要: A method for a production line for rolling a strip may include: at a time point before a first strip point is fed into the production line, receiving for each of the first strip point, a number of second strip points, and a number of third strip points: (a) an actual value characteristic of an actual energy content and relates to a location in front of the production line and (a) a setpoint value characteristic of a setpoint energy content and relates to a location behind the production line; feeding the third strip points into the production line, followed by the first strip point, followed by the second strip points; prior to feeding the first strip point into the production line, determining a command variable for the first strip point and at least one second strip point based on a determining rule specific to the respective strip point, each command variable being characteristic of a command speed at which the production line is operated when the respective strip point is fed into the production line; wherein the determining rule for determining each respective command variable is determined based at least on (a) the actual value and the setpoint value of the respective strip point currently entering the production line, and (b) the actual value and the setpoint value of at least one strip point that has already entered the production line.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for controlling the quality of cylindrical or other geometrically regular-shaped products, such as tube or rounds, through high precision, continuous, real-time three-dimensional analysis of hot or cold products during their manufacture are disclosed. The apparatus includes multiple penetrating radiation sources and detectors. The apparatus is able to continuously and in real time perform a three-dimensional analysis of hot or cold products, detect cross-sectional and longitudinal flaws in the products, determine the processing steps causing the flaw, and modify the production process through feedback and/or feedforward control of the processing equipment. In performing the analysis on hot or cold products, the apparatus can determine the dimensional measurements of the products at other temperatures and take these measurements into consideration while controlling the manufacturing process in order to produce products of consistent dimensional quality.
