    摘要: A roll for continuous casting comprises a cylindrical roll rotatably mounted on a fixed axle and having a cooling chamber that surrounds the axle for receiving a flow of coolant. The axle is mounted on a roll support system. The roll support system comprises a first roll support connected to a coolant supply system and a second roll support connected to a coolant drain system. The axle comprises a first inlet connected to the first roll support, a first outlet connected to the coolant chamber, a second inlet connected to the coolant chamber, and a second outlet connected to the second roll support. A coolant flow circuit has a flow path from the coolant supply system to the coolant drain system through the first roll support, the first inlet, the first outlet, the coolant chamber, the second inlet, the second outlet, and the second roll support.

    摘要: In a reel furnace having a strip reeling device, the strip reeling device comprising a reel shaft, a reel drum supported on the reel shaft and at least one stirrup clamp, the reel shaft passing through a furnace wall delimiting the inner space of the reel furnace and being supported rotatably in supporting bearings outside the reel furnace, the reel drum and the at least one stirrup clamp being positioned with respect to one another by means of a connection element, and a gap for receiving a strip head being set between the reel drum and the at least one stirrup clamp. The useful life of the reel drum is appreciably increased and a strip thickness-dependent setting of the entry gap for the hot-rolled strip is ensured when the reel drum is designed as a closed body and the connection element is designed as an actuating device for fixing a specific gap width between the reel drum and the stirrup clamp and for clamping a strip head which has entered the gap.

    摘要: The present invention provides a titanium material for hot rolling that enables reduction of defects occurring on the surface (in the case of a flat material or strip coil, including not only the flat surfaces but also the side surfaces and edges) owing to the hot rolling, and a method of producing the same, particularly to a titanium material for hot rolling enabling omission of an ingot breakdown process, and a method of producing the same, characterized in that it is a titanium material for hot rolling having dimples imparted by cold plastic deformation whose mean value of the heights (Wc) of the undulation profile elements is 0.2 to 1.5 mm and mean value of the lengths (WSm) thereof is 3 to 15 mm, and makes it possible to minimize surface defects occurring in hot rolling even if a process for breaking down the ingot is omitted. The dimples are formed by plastically deforming the surface of the titanium under cold condition using a steel tool having a tip shape of a radius of curvature of 3 to 30 mm or a steel sphere of a radius of 3 to 30 mm.

    摘要: The invention concerns a roller (R), used in continuous product heating furnaces for handling and conveying steel products and in particular slabs. The associated apparatus includes a cooled central shaft (1), cooled by a liquid. On the shaft are mounted a plurality of discs (2), for supporting the products (3) to be transported, arranged perpendicularly to the longitudinal geometrical axis of the roller (R), spaced apart along the axis of the roller (R) and separated by an insulating sleeve (4).
