    摘要: A Venturi pump used for sucking powder from a supply, diluting the same, then feeding it to a gun via a conveyor pipe. The pump comprises an outer body, at least one powder suction duct, at least two air connections, of which a first air connection is capable of supplying an injector to create a vacuum inside the suction duct and a second air connection is capable of supplying a dilution air circuit separate from the powder flow. The pump including at least one powder outlet nozzle centered on an axis of diffusion, the inlet of which is located downstream from the first air connection and the suction duct. At least one protection barrier contains a non-return valve disposed inside the dilution air circuit and at least one outlet tip of the dilution circuit disposed around the nozzle and also connected to the conveyor pipe.

    摘要: Apparatus and methods for detecting flow of powder coating material in an electrically nonconductive powder hose include providing an electrically conductive material that extends along at least a portion of the length of the hose to collect tribo-charge transfer that is produced by frictional contact between the powder coating material and an interior surface of the hose. The collected tribo-charge transfer is used to produce an electrical current in the electrically conductive material. A circuit detects the current in the electrically conductive material and produces an output that indicates whether powder coating material is flowing through the hose.

The passage opening and the partition are crossed by force lines of a first electrical field adapted to cause transfer of the powder particles transiting along the conveyance channel on the surface to be treated through the passage opening and the partition.

    摘要: Abstract of DisclosureA method and device is provided for detecting a flow of particles, particularly paint particles, in a powder transportation line connected to a powder spray gun. The powder transportation line of the device includes a portion having an interior face provided with an electrostatically friction-charging material. The portion of the transportation line may be located upstream or downstream of the pump or within the pump itself. The transportation line portion is in electrical communication with a unit for sensing electrical signals. When the powder particles flow through the transportation line portion, an electrical charge is generated in the portion as a result of the friction between the particles and the friction-charging material. This electrical charge is detected by the sensing unit .

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a process for the application of fluoropolymer to a preselected area of a threaded fastener, and particularly to substantially all of the threads of the fastener. The fluoropolymer is supplied to a spray nozzle in powder form and is subjected to a triboelectrostatic charging process so that individual particles discharged from the spray nozzle are electrically charged to between about 1×10−7 to about 3×10−3 coulombs per kilogram. In the preferred form of the invention, the fluoropolymer powder is triboelectrically charged, entrained in an air stream discharged from the nozzle and directed onto the preselected area of the fastener. In this manner a generally uniform powder coating is deposited onto the preselected area of the fastener while the fastener is maintained at room temperature. Thereafter, the fastener is heated to a temperature above the melting point of the fluoropolymer to thereby coalesce the deposited powder into a continuous film coating which adheres, upon cooling, to the preselected area of the fastener. In accordance with a preferred embodiment, the fastener is heated in a manner which raises the temperature of only the preselected area of the fastener to the fluoropolymer melting point. This preferred heating technique minimizes the retention of fluoropolymer inadvertently deposited on areas of the fastener other than the preselected area, and allows this undesired fluoropolymer to be easily removed, even after heating.
