摘要:
A self-loading feed mixer and transport wagon is provided which is capable of grinding and loading a stack of livestock feed material into the wagon, thoroughly mixing the feed material together, and transporting the feed material to a desired location where it is dispensed from the wagon. The wagon includes a feed loading mechanism having a set of pulverizing chains for grinding the feed material and a blower unit for loading the material into a feed compartment. A rotatable conveyor mechanism located in the feed compartment includes a set of feed engaging paddles oriented diagonally and resiliently mounted on the conveyor shaft for advancing the feed material. One or more mixing augers are provided in the feed compartment for agitating and mixing the feed material in its advance toward a discharge area to produce a uniform feed ration. A discharge elevator is provided to dispense the mixed feed material from the wagon.

According to embodiments disclosed herein, there is provided a system for loading, mixing and transporting feed. The system includes a commodity bay, a crane movable with respect to the commodity bay, and a mixer coupled to the crane. The mixer includes a commodity loader to load commodities into the mixer from the commodity bay. The crane is movable in a first direction to position at least part of the mixer within the commodity bay to load commodities from the commodity bay. The crane is movable in a second direction to transport the mixer away from the commodity bay.

Disclosed is a mixing valve for use in sludge treatment and solidification of sludge ponds. The valve has a main body into which the sludge suspension is pumped. Located within the main body of the valve is a flexible hose through which the sludge treating and solidification agents such as lime, cement, quicklime and sand is delivered pneumatically into the main body of the valve. The turbulence created by the discharge of air and solids into the sludge suspension causes the component to mix thoroughly with one another. Mixing is enhanced by allowing the open end of the flexible hose to be free. Thus, when blowing in the treating and solidification agents, the free end of the hose is allowed to flap within the main body of the valve thereby enhancing turbulence and mixing. The hose is flexible enough so that if pneumatic pressure is lost, the pressure of the sludge suspension within the main body and about the flexible hose will cause the flexible hose to collapse on itself thereby preventing the backflow of the sludge through the hose and into the container in which the sludge treating and solification agents are stored.

This shredder-mixer-distributor trailer comprises an elongated box-like container longitudinally accommodating lower and upper rotating scrolls. The lower scrolls are arranged mutually close and convey material toward the front portion of the container, while the upper scrolls are spaced apart from each other and transport the material in the opposite direction. The lower scrolls define spirals with constant height and have two vertical baffles interposed therebetween. The upper scrolls define a variable-height spiral with portions extending along opposite directions. The container longitudinally accommodates wedge-like elements for adjusting the feed to the lower scrolls and avoiding accumulation of material toward the walls of the container, and toothed-blade elements for improving shredding and keeping the scrolls clean. A loading bucket is integrated in the rear portion of the container while front doors allow unloading of the shredded material.

A self-loading feed mixer and transport wagon is provided which is capable of grinding and loading a stack of livestock feed material into the wagon, thoroughly mixing the feed material together, and transporting the feed material to a desired location where it is dispensed from the wagon. The wagon includes a feed grinding and loading mechanism which is vertically adjustable to engage the stack of feed material at different levels. The feed grinding and loading mechanism comprises an open-faced housing which contains a rotatable shaft provided with a plurality of hammer units and a concave screen spaced from the shaft and cooperable with the hammer units to grind the feed material. The grinding and loading mechanism includes a grapple fork pivotally mounted on the housing and adapted to urge the feed material through the open-faced housing into engagement with the pulverizing hammers. The grapple fork is provided with a shield which serves as a protective cover to close the open-faced housing. The ground feed material is fed via a blower unit and flexible spout into the feed compartment of the wagon. Preferably, an auger mechanism is provided at the top of the feed compartment which uniformly distributes the ground feed material along the compartment.
