Example methods include determining, by a device, the position of a first player on a tennis court, determining a first target location for a first tennis ball to be ejected toward the first player, generating a trajectory for the first tennis ball to reach the first target location, and causing ejection of the first tennis ball from the tennis ball ejection robot along the generated trajectory toward the first target location. A base station may be used to provide image data for use by the tennis ball ejection robot from one or more additional vantage points.

摘要: Provided is a tennis and other racquet and paddle sport grip training device for use on the grip/handle of a tennis racquet, other racquet types or a paddle. Various forms of the device may be utilized for teaching and practicing the continental grip, the two-handed backhand grip, the one-handed backhand grip and the various forehand grips. The device includes at least one thumb heel plate for the thumb heel area of the dominant hand and the optional non-dominant hand (for the two-handed backhand grip), at least one recessed palm area for the dominant hand and optional non-dominant hand, and a hand divider ridge/plate/pad for the pinky finger heel area of the optional non-dominate hand and the area between the thumb and the index finger of the dominate hand. These features allow the player to more easily, comfortably, consistently, and accurately position his or her hand (s) on the racquet or paddle grip/handle for utilizing and practicing the proper grips for the range of strokes utilized for racquet and paddle sports.

摘要: Methods and apparatus relating to predicting outcome in a sporting environment are described. The methods and apparatus are used to relate trajectory performance of an object to body motions and body orientation associated with a generating the trajectory of the object. When equipment is utilized to generate the trajectory of an object, than the effects of equipment motions and equipment orientation can be also related to trajectory performance. The method and apparatus can be used to predict body motions and body orientations that increase the likelihood of achieving a desired outcome including specifying optimum motions and orientations for a particular individual. The method and apparatus may be used in training, coaching and broadcasting environments.

For example, the ball-machine may download a complete profile of a tennis player from a game recording, or may download a file with a customized profile of a player to train a player using the ball-machine. The ball-machine is equipped with a plurality of wheels, motors, and shafts to provide a fully customizable launch of one or more balls. For example, the ball can be launched from the machine from one side of a tennis court to another side of a tennis court with a variety of speeds, trajectories, topspin, bounce etc.

摘要: A smart vehicle flock navigation system includes a plurality of smart vehicles configured to follow a leader smart vehicle, wherein the leader smart vehicle is configured to follow a target vehicle or a target driving plan; each smart vehicle being equipped with: obstacle detection and avoidance capabilities; vehicle-to-vehicle communication means for transmitting information about obstacles and evasive actions to following smart vehicles; a flock control module for adjusting the driving path of the smart vehicle flock based on transmitted obstacle information; a flocking behavior algorithm based on three independent rules: Separation, Alignment, and Cohesion, controlling the motion of each smart vehicle within the flock; and a distributed flocking operation mechanism utilizing wireless network communication for coordinating the behavior of the smart vehicle flock.
