    摘要: An injector includes a needle movable from a retracted position to an injection position. A rotary biasing assembly is stabilized in a stored energy state and releasable into an energy releasing state and includes a cam. A cam follower couples the rotary biasing assembly with the needle and is configured to transform rotation of the rotary biasing assembly in the energy releasing state thereof into translation of the needle from the retracted position to the injection position. An activation switch is rotatable from an unactivated position, stabilizing the rotary biasing assembly in the stored energy state thereof, to an activated position, releasing the rotary biasing assembly into the energy releasing state thereof. An activation button is movably mounted to the injector housing and is translatable from an unactuated position to an actuated position, whereby the translation rotates the activation switch from the unactivated position to the activated position thereof.

    摘要: Precision low-dose, low-waste syringe configurations have a reduced diameter lumen for dispensing 0.01 ml increments of contents. Plunger and lumen configurations and a needle interface eliminate dead space. Ergonomic attachments improve the control and precision of delivery of syringes. An attachment main body includes a gripping surface to permit a user to engage the attachment and move the attachment main body, and thus the syringe plunger relative to the syringe barrel using sliding movement. Optical enhancement features are provided on the attachment to improve the readability of gradations and plunger position. The attachment may be provided with an assist feature, which may be a traction wheel mounted on the attachment body. An alternative configuration suitable for syringe contents of higher viscosity may include a pair of toothed pinion gears on a wheel and which cooperate with respective toothed racks formed on or fastened to the syringe body.

    摘要: A medication injecting apparatus has a cartridge housing and a drive housing that is threadedly connected to the cartridge housing for axial displacement relative to one another. The drive housing has a helical-shaped passage and a flexible drive member is slidingly disposed within the helical-shaped passage and extends axially outwardly therefrom toward the cartridge housing. The flexible drive member is movable in the axial direction relative to the drive housing during dose setting and is axially fixed relative to the drive housing during injecting. A clutch has an engaged position and a disengaged position. The flexible drive member is axially fixed relative to the drive housing when the clutch is in the engaged position and the flexible drive member is movable relative to the drive housing when the clutch is in the disengaged position.

    摘要: The present invention relates to injectors, such as pen-type injectors, that provide for administration of medicinal products from a multidose cartridge and permit a user to set the delivery dose. The injector may include a housing, a cartridge containing medicinal product, the cartridge being retained within the housing, means for selecting a dose of medicinal product to be expelled, and means for expelling the selected dose of medicinal product. Alternatively, the injector may include a housing, a piston rod, an insert located in the housing and through which the piston may rotate, ratchet means, a dose dial sleeve, a drive sleeve, a button located on the drive sleeve and rotatable with respect to the drive sleeve, and clutch means which upon depression of the button prevents rotation between the dose dial sleeve and the drive sleeve.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a medical delivery apparatus which comprises a hollow container (2) filled with a liquid drug (3). The container (2) is closed at its distal end by a pierceable membrane (4) and provided with a plunger at its proximal open. Whenever a piston rod (20) moves the plunger (5) forward inside the container, a pressure is build up in the liquid drug (3) contained in the container (2). Further, a resilient element (33),such as a spring, is provided. This resilient element (33) can be activated to operate from a relaxed state to a tensed state upon activation of a dose injection mechanism during injection. The resilient element (33) is operated to its tensed state when during injection, the pressure is build up in the liquid drug (3) and secured in its tensed state as long as the pressure inside the container (2) is above a predetermined threshold value. When the pressure in the liquid drug (3) decreases below the predetermined threshold value, the tensed spring will operate into its relaxed state thereby providing an audible and/or tactile indication to the user that the pressure in the liquid drug (3) contained in the container (2) is below the predetermined threshold value.

    摘要: A simple method and device enabling a unit dose from a reservoir is provided. The dose is drawn into the reservoir and is then expelled from the device by depressing a plunger. The plunger has features which divide the dose into discrete intervals. As the plunger is moved during delivery, the features on the plunger and features connected to a barrel interact to provide for intermittent stops to the delivery. Other aspects of the device provide for reduced dead space, safety and selective interconnection with other devices. Thus, the device divides the dose.
