Abstract: A medical connector can include a body having a fluid path with an inlet port, an outlet port, a luer portion, and a post extending through a fluid path. An arm having a latch member is coupled to the body to engage a ridge or thread on an exterior surface of a reciprocal connector. The arm may also include an extension. When the connector is in an open position, the latch member restricts retraction of the reciprocal connector from the outlet port. A seal is coupled to the body and includes a flap extending across the outlet port or a bellows to compress along an axis. In a closed position, the post restricts flow through the luer portion. In an open position, the post permits flow through the luer portion.

Abstract: A medical connector includes: a housing including a male connector connection portion comprising a male connector connection port having a cylindrical shape, a medical instrument connection portion, and a valve body housing portion; and a valve body configured to open and close the male connector connection port, the valve body including a head portion, and a barrel portion that connects to the head portion. When a male connector is inserted into the male connector connection port, the head portion moves from the male connector connection port into the valve body housing portion and a slit in the head portion opens, such that a flow passage from the male connector connection portion to the medical instrument connection portion is formed.

Abstract: A medical connector is described which is formed by a body having an inlet port, an outlet port through a male luer portion of the body, and a fluid path between the inlet port and the at least one outlet ports. A retractable post extends through the fluid path in the male luer sealing a tip of the male luer thereby closing the fluid path when the connector in not activated. There is a seal between the retractable post and the body that forms a fluid volume within a portion of the cavity. The fluid path passes through the fluid volume. When actuated, the retractable post is forced away from the tip of the male luer, thereby opening the fluid path through the medical connector and decreasing the fluid volume.

An example wash port valve assembly may include a multi-part housing defining a cavity and comprising a cap portion having a first hardness, and a base portion having a second hardness that has a hardness value greater than the first hardness. The valve assembly may include an elastomeric valve disposed within the cavity and may be configured to be movably retained within the multi-part housing. The elastomeric valve may comprise a valve tip portion and a valve end portion distal of the valve tip portion. An example airway adapter assembly may include an adapter housing defining a cleaning chamber, and a wash port coupling assembly coupled to the wash port of the cleaning chamber.

Abstract: Drug delivery connectors are provided for permitting and blocking fluid flow between a container and a catheter connector or other drug delivery site. Embodiments of the drug delivery connectors include a ball valve for forming a releasable seal within the drug delivery connectors. In one or more embodiments, the ball valve prevents fluid flow between an open proximal end and an open distal end of the drug delivery connector and is movable in a proximal direction to release the releasable seal to permit fluid flow from the open proximal direction to the open distal direction. Methods of delivering medication to a catheter connector that includes an actuator are also provided.

Abstract: A bottomed, tubular hollow elastic body that opens toward an outlet side of a drug solution flow path is accommodated and arranged in an accommodation part formed in a housing, and a middle protrusion is provided protruding toward an inlet side of the drug solution flow path from a center part of a bottom wall of the hollow elastic body.
