Abstract:
Systems for delivery of therapeutic agents and related methods are disclosed. A sensing system is configured to detect a chemical in the vicinity of a patient and transmit a signal to a controller upon detection. A controller is configured to release a therapeutic agent which is transported to the site of interest. The controller communicates with an electronic medical records database, an alarm and a nurse call system.
Abstract:
A mattress system includes a core mattress and a mattress cover. The core is made from a resilient material with a top surface that may be inclined with respect to the bottom surface. The removable mattress sheet covers the core and includes a breathable material that forms a hammock over a depression in the top surface. The subject rests at least partially on the hammock. One or more sidewalls of the mattress depression may have one or more openings to facilitate air circulation within the depression. The external ends of the openings may connect to an air or aerosol source to inject air or aerosols into the depression cavity. The core may be coated with a fire retardant, impermeable water-proofing or gas impermeable layer. A ventilator may be adapted within the mattress.
Abstract:
A medical sanitary multifunctional system bed is provided for nursing, having necessary functions that can be added optionally according to clinical conditions of users. The optional addition of functions allows the medical sanitary multifunctional system bed to perform necessary functions, on a case-by-case basis, thereby minimizing the economic burden imposed on patients. Ordinarily, the bed includes a lower capsule, supported by a metallic support frame, an upper capsule mounted on the lower capsule, a movable and rotatable portion, which is supported by the metallic support frame, and a plurality of removable cushions placed on the movable portion. On a optional basis, the bed may include a stool, a bathtub, a shower, and additional washers.
Abstract:
The invention is directed to a molded, hollow, ligature resistant wardrobe comprising a ligature resistant top portion, a ligature resistant coat hanger support and a shelf. A door may be attached to enclose a storage shelf and the igature resistant coat hanger support. The igature resistant coat hanger support having a closed hanger hook engagement recess to prevent providing a ligature tie off point. The ligature resistant top portion may have a sloping shape extending from a back to a front.
Abstract:
A pad, in particular for a mattress in the nursing care and hospital sector has a liquid-impermeable and elastic lower layer and a liquid-permeable and elastic upper layer arranged on the lower layer. The lower layer and the upper layer are surrounded by an outer casing, which has a liquid-impermeable outer casing lower part facing the lower layer and a liquid-permeable outer casing upper part facing the upper layer. The pad is very comfortable to lie and/or sit on and has a high degree of breathability. Moreover, the pad is easy to clean and can accordingly be reprocessed frequently. The pad can be easily and economically retrofitted to improve the lying comfort and the breathability of existing mattresses.
Abstract:
A combined type nursing bed. A moveable backrest is provided on a fixed bed body, and a wheelchair is disposed at an end of the moveable backrest. The wheelchair includes three rectangular plates, a wheelchair support, and a second driving mechanism. When in use, the three rectangular plates are driven by the second driving mechanism and pivots around rotating shafts to form the wheelchair. The wheelchair can be separated from the bed body. Through separation and combination of the wheelchair and the bed body, a patient can be easily transferred. The transferring process does not require hard labor of the nursing personnel, and the patients do not suffer addition discomfort due to use of the nursing bed.
Abstract:
Systems relating to a safe and easily removable and reusable bedding system, including a waterproof pad or a sheet pad that attaches to a fitted sheet. The detachable pads of the present invention seek to reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and bed sores by providing a tightly fitted pad. The pad can be changed, cleaned, and replaced frequently and more readily without requiring regular mattress lifting.

Abstract:
An infant mattress includes a core and a cover. The core is made from a resilient material and has a top surface and a bottom surface. The top surface is inclined with respect to the bottom surface and includes a depression. The cover covers the core and includes a mesh-like material that forms an inclined hammock over the depression. The head and torso of an infant are placed on the hammock. One or more sidewalls of the depression may have one or more openings to facilitate air circulation within the depression cavity. The external ends of the openings may connect to an air or aerosol source to inject air or aerosols into the depression cavity. The core may be coated with an impermeable water-proofing layer.
