摘要： A cylindrical bandage is held in place without using binding means such as strings tied to an upper limb. Additionally, the cylindrical bandage for a lower limb or upper limb fits the shapes and dimensions of a body part and stays on the body part and thus allows great increase in venous return. The cylindrical bandage includes a tubular knit being of a length corresponding to a length of an arm or a leg and a gutter-shaped knit extending from a lengthwise first end of the tubular knit. This gutter-shaped knit has smaller circumferential length than the first end of the tubular knit and has a cut-out section with a horseshoe or V shape.

摘要： Breathable residual-limb system that admits air and allows sweat to evaporate from the surface of the residual limb. In an embodiment, the system comprises a liner sock to be worn on the residual limb, and comprising air-permeable textile forming a substantially cylindrical portion that is closed on a distal end and open on a proximal end and comprising an internal surface and an external surface. The liner sock further comprises a friction-interface material that covers only a portion of the internal surface of the air-permeable textile, such that, when worn on the residual limb, the friction-interface material contacts a surface of the residual limb, and an uncovered portion of the air-permeable textile which the friction-interface material does not cover allows air to pass between an external environment of the liner sock and the surface of the residual limb.

摘要： A disposable, absorbent “moisture management” drain pad for use on IV sites, tracheotomy tube sites, chest tube sites, catheter sites, g-tube sites, and drain sites. The pads will protect drain sites/skin area around drain sites from exudates/drainage by absorbing large amounts of fluid and locking it into a super absorbent core that remains dry on the outer surface next to the skin/drain site. The drain pad will contain an ultra-thin core containing super absorbent polymer and two layers of tissue substrates, a water impervious hydrophobic nonwoven back sheet and a water pervious (hydrophilic) non-woven top sheet. Various materials can be substituted for these listed as long as they perform the required criteria need for the material.

摘要： A biodegradable microfiber absorbent comprises a substantially homogeneous mixture of at least one hydrophilic polymer and at least one biodegradable polymer. The absorbent can be prepared by an electro hydrodynamic spinning of a substantially homogeneous polymer mixture. Medical dressings for burns and wounds, cavity dressings, drug delivery patches, face masks, implants, drug carriers that comprises at least one microfiber electrospun from a polymer mixture are provided. The dressings can have variable water vapor penetration characteristics and variable biodegradation times.

This material can be employed in a wide variety of medical and sanitary applications, including surgery and as a non-adhesive covering material.

Embodiments of the invention also provide methods for relieving pain in a body portion by pulling the sleeve in an outside-out configuration straight up a body portion without having to roll and flip its exterior surface outside.
