摘要: An intraocular lens comprising an optic and four haptics extending from the optic, each haptic having a proximal end meeting with the optic at differing points about a periphery of the optic. The four haptics are arranged into a first pair comprising two arcuate haptics with curvature orientated toward each other such that a distal end of each of the two haptics of the first pair are in nearer relation than their proximal ends; and, a second pair comprising two arcuate haptics with curvature orientated toward each other such that a distal end of each of the two haptics of the second pair are in nearer relation than their proximal end.

摘要: A system and method of treating target tissue in a patient's eye, which includes generating a light beam, deflecting the light beam using a scanner to form first and second treatment patterns, delivering the first treatment pattern to the target tissue to form an incision that provides access to an eye chamber of the patient's eye, and delivering the second treatment pattern to the target tissue to form a relaxation incision along or near limbus tissue or along corneal tissue anterior to the limbus tissue of the patient's eye to reduce astigmatism thereof.

摘要: Provided is an intraocular lens having an optical body and having at least one haptic element coupled to the optical body, wherein the at least one haptic element has a first haptic component and at least a second haptic component formed adjacent thereto, which is movable elastically relative to the first haptic component, and having a principal optical axis that penetrates through a front side and a reverse side of the optical body, wherein the haptic element, measured in the direction of the principal optical axis, has a maximum of a first height, wherein the second haptic component is displaceable relative to the first haptic component from a non-spread position to a spread position in such a way that the haptic element, measured in the direction of the principal optical axis, attains a maximum of a second height which is greater than the first height, and, in the spread position, the second haptic component can be locked in place relative to the first haptic component, wherein the first haptic component has at least a first spreading element, and the second haptic component has at least a second spreading element, wherein the first spreading element and the second spreading element, viewed in circumferential direction around the principal optical axis, at least in the spread position, are in a mutually overlapping arrangement and directly adjacent to one another at least in some regions.

The toroid portion may be separate from an IOL optic and may include a receiving feature for the IOL optic. The toroid portion may be configured for intraoperative fluid-filling for snug fitting at the equator of the capsular bag, in order to immobilize the IOL optic.

摘要: An intraocular lens has central lens body with a first and second, opposite posterior and anterior surfaces, the posterior and anterior surfaces meeting in a rounded peripheral side surface. The lens further has at least a pair of haptics extending from the peripheral side surface of the central lens body, each of the haptics having an arcuate configuration so that a radially distal end of each haptic is engageable within the ciliary sulcus of the eye. The haptics engageable with the ciliary sulcus for stabilizing the central lens body at a location posterior, or rearward, of both the lens capsule anterior and posterior portions, such that the central lens body seals the anterior and posterior portions together proximal to a capsulotomy in each of the anterior and posterior portions.
