Abstract: An implant for insertion into a patient is provided. The implant includes a three-dimensionally printed structure of layers. Each layer comprises an infill pattern of the three-dimensionally printed structure, the infill pattern of each layer comprising a set of infill lines. The implant includes a plurality of hollow channels. The layers are arranged on top of one another such that the plurality of hollow channels are formed within the implant, wherein the walls of each channel are formed by sections of the infill lines of a plurality of layers of the printed structure of layers. At least one hollow channel extends between a first outer surface of the implant and a second outer surface of the implant. At least one hollow channel is oriented in a direction which is tilted with respect to a reference axis perpendicular to the first outer surface of the implant.

Abstract: An apparatus has a central lens body for providing vision correction for a patient. The lens body has a central aperture and is configured as one of: a diffractive lens or a refractive lens. The lens body has at least one haptic extending from the lens body, and the central aperture has a form of a circular hole extending fully through the lens body when the apparatus is implanted in the eye. The lens body is formed from a substantially transparent material and the central aperture includes a darkened perimeter. The darkened perimeter of the central aperture includes a darkened internal wall extending through the lens body from an anterior surface to a posterior surface of the lens body.

Abstract: Examples of prosthetic heart valves and frames for use in prosthetic heart valve are disclosed herein. The prosthetic heart valves comprise frames that are movable between a radially compressed configuration and a radially-expanded configuration and comprise a row of inlet cells, a row of outlet cells, and a row of intermediate cells. The frames of the prosthetic heart valves include actuation members and locking mechanisms configured to secure the frame in one or more radially-expanded configurations. In some examples, the actuation members and locking members are integrally formed with the frame. The frames of the prosthetic heart valves can be coupled to one or more shafts of a delivery apparatus via a threaded connection or a non-threaded connection.

Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to membranous tissue grafts comprising one or more pre-made attachment points. The one or more pre-made attachment points may include pre-made markings and/or pre-made suture holes. The membranous tissue grafts can be in the form of a tube. The membranous tissue grafts can also be rectangular in shape and can be used in a nerve repair by wrapping the severed or damaged nerve. In some embodiments, the membranous tissue grafts are suitable for repairing severed nerves that have a short gap or no gap with a gap of less than 5 mm between the severed stumps. Accordingly, methods are provided for repairing a damaged or severed nerve by implanting the membranous tissue grafts on to the damaged or severed nerve.
