    摘要: Certain embodiments of a sensor cartridge element include a sensor module, an electrode arrangement installed on the sensor module, and a delivery arrangement securely coupled to the sensor module. The sensor module includes an analysis cell and a skin piercing member. The electrode arrangement generates an electrical signal when exposed to a fluid sample collected in the analysis cell. The delivery arrangement includes a drug reservoir, a piston chamber, and a valve arrangement providing selective fluid communication between the drug reservoir and the piston chamber. Metering electronics and an actuator can manage collection of fluid samples and/or dispensing of drug doses.

    摘要: A glucose blood monitor that includes a cartridge releasably insertable into an interior cavity of a housing, said cartridge including a plurality of lancet strips vertically disposed therein, each of said plurality of lancet strips including a hollow needle and a test strip, wherein each of said plurality of lancet strips is cycled from a first cavity within the cartridge, to a prime position for use, to a read position for analysis of a collected blood sample, then to a used position within a second cavity in the cartridge, whereby used needles and test strips are interiorly retained within the cartridge for safe disposal of the cartridge as a whole subsequent use of the last of the plurality of lancet strips.

    摘要: A cartridge comprises plural blood testing discs, each blood testing disc including a lancet and a blood collection and testing part. Each of the discs has a generally circular shape with a cutout at one side thereof. The lancet of each disc is supported at the periphery of the disc at a location that does not coincide with the cutout. The cartridge includes a side face having an aperture formed therein. The discs are supported in a rotatable manner on a common longitudinal axis. In a non-operational condition, the cutouts of the discs are located in a close proximity to and facing the side face of the cartridge and in an operational condition a disc that is coincident with the aperture is permitted to rotate on the longitudinal axis such that the part of the disc on which the lancet is supported passes through the aperture to allow lancing.

    摘要: A lancet device is provided with stackable features to carry a plurality of lancets as a single unit. The lancet device includes a lancet body with a sharp tip at one end for drawing a sample of blood. The lancet body has opposing sides with projections on one of the opposing sides and depressions on the other opposing side. The projections and depressions are configured such that projections on one lancet body securely engages into the depressions of an adjacent lancet body providing a stacked formation. As an alternate, the plurality of lancets can be housed in an elongated member so that the plurality of lancets can be transported as a single unit.
