摘要: A method for operating an automated food making apparatus having a motor, actuator arm, and an apparatus. The apparatus may be a paddle with flexible fins. The method rotates the paddle with a pin-shaft mechanism to dispense an ingredient placed in a canister, controls the motor automatically based on weight sensor readings, and locates a position of the actuator arm with position sensors. The same motor dispenses ingredients from a plurality of canisters. The method may have a plurality of paddle rotation and weight measurement steps until a target weight is reached. The plurality of paddle rotation steps may be unidirectional or bidirectional paddle rotation. The paddle may be rotated according to one or more paddle rotation algorithms, an error recovery algorithm, or different algorithms based on the amounts of ingredients remaining in the canister. The paddle may be rocked until the target weight is achieved.

摘要: A horizontal shaking type automatic cooker includes five parts: a shaking platform, a heating device, a cooking pan, a motor, and an electronic control unit. The shaking platform includes two parts: a fixed base and a shaking flat plate. The fixed base and the shaking flat plate are connected through four eccentric gears that have a same diameter and are in rectangular arrangement. When the four eccentric gears synchronously rotate under the drive of the motor, the shaking flat plate and the cooking pan start to shake horizontally and circumferentially in a non-rotating manner, and a dish in the pan is turned and mixed under the action of inertia and impact force at a pan edge, so as to achieve a stirring effect. When the automatic cooker works during cover opening, water evaporates rapidly, there is much contact with oxygen gas, and a stir-frying effect is desirable.

摘要: A counter top cooking appliance has an enclosure defining a cooking chamber arranged to receive a cooking pan. The cooking chamber includes a lower heating element arranged so that the cooking pan may be supported thereon to receive conductive heating there-from, and an upper heating element disposed above and spaced from the cooking pan to provide radiant heating to food there-within. The enclosure includes an upper portion including the upper heating element, and a lower portion including the lower heating element, and a hinge connecting the upper portion to the lower portion. The hinge enables the upper portion to rest atop the lower portion to define the cooking chamber, and alternatively enables the upper portion to be swung relative to the lower portion so that the upper and lower portions are in a parallel side-by-side relationship and both heating elements are arranged so that the cooking pan may be supported on either thereof to receive conductive heating there-from.

摘要: A processing system (10) and corresponding method (158) are provided for processing workpieces (WP), including food items, to cut and remove undesirable components from the food items and/or portion the food items while being conveyed on a conveyor system (12). An X-ray scanning station (14) is located on an upstream conveyor section (20) to ascertain size and/or shape parameters of the food items as well as the location of any undesirable components of the food items, such as bones, fat or cartilage. Thereafter the food items are transferred to a downstream conveyor (20) at which is located an optical scanner (102) to ascertain the size and/or shape parameters of the food items. The results of the X-ray and optical scanning are transmitted to a processor (18) to confirm that the food item scanned by the optical scanner is the same as that previously scanned by the X-ray scanner. Once this identity is confirmed, if required, the data from the X-ray scanner is translated or transformed onto the data from the optical scanner. Such translation may include one or more of the shifting of the food items in the X and/or Y direction, rotation of the food item, scaling of the size of the food item, and sheer distortion of the food item. Next, the location of the undesirable material within the food item is mapped from the X-ray scanning data onto the optical scanning data. Thereafter, the undesirable material is removed by a cutter(s) (28). The food item may also (or alternatively) been portioned by the cutter(s) (28).

摘要: A remote temperature monitoring system includes a first unit operatively connected to one or more temperature sensors for sensing the temperature of one or more materials or food items being cooked or heated. The first unit transmits the sensed temperature to a second unit that is located remotely from the first unit during heating. The second unit is programmable with the desired temperature and/or heating parameters of the item. By monitoring the temperature status of the item over time, the system determines when the food has reached the desired temperature or degree of cooking, and notifies the user.
