Outer lace apertures and inner lace apertures are disposed along the instep area on the first side and, in some aspects, the second side, where inner lace apertures are located more inward towards a middle of the upper than outer lace apertures. A lace extends through an inner lace aperture from an exterior surface on the first side of the upper, along an interior surface of the upper, and then exits the upper through an outer lace aperture on the first side. After exiting the outer lace aperture on the first side, the lace extends across the instep area along the exterior surface of the upper and extends through a lace aperture on the second side, which may be an inner lace aperture.

摘要： A medical shoe having an overmolding layer with a non-uniform density is provided. The medical shoe may include a midsole configured to support a foot, and a frame surrounding the midsole. The midsole may include a foot receiving portion forming a substantially planar surface for supporting the foot and a frame receiving portion opposite the foot receiving portion. The frame may include an overmolding layer extending from a side of the frame opposite the midsole so as to form a ground contacting surface. The overmolding layer may have a non-uniform density. The sole assembly may be secured to the frame by a self-locking fit between the sole assembly and the frame.

摘要： Ankle-foot orthotics are used by many people suffering from foot drop. Some are applied to the foot and then inserted into standard footwear. They present many disadvantages. Alternatively, the orthotic is external causing extra attention to the orthotic. Disclosed herein is an ankle-foot orthotic (AFO) that is integrated into a boot. The AFO is less obvious and the boot material is in contact with the wearer's foot rather than the orthotic itself. A calf plate hinged with a sole plate are inserted into the shoe, as well as a member in tension biasing the foot toward dorsiflexion.

The main body wraps around the instep of the foot and the arch of the foot, without covering the ball of the foot, the heel, or the toes. The ankle strap is attached at its ends to the main body and extends around the back of the foot above the heel for constraining the main body from forward movement. The toe loop surrounds one of the toes. The top strap connects the toe loop with the main body from above the foot, the top strap extending over the instep for constraining the main body from rearward movement.
