Abstract: An aquaculture system can include stacked growth trays. Animals, such as shrimp, can be transferred between the growth trays for different stages of growth. Waste water can be removed from the growth trays and can be processed by a water treatment system. Treated water can be returned to the growth trays. A valve in a first configuration can permit water to circulate through the growth tray, while impeding the animals from exiting the growth tray. In a second configuration, the valve can permit the animals to exit the growth tray, such as for transition to a subsequent growth tray. A sweeper system can be used for cleaning and/or mixing the water in the growth tray, and/or for pushing the animals out of the growth tray during a transition.

Abstract: An aquarium has wireless lighting which is configured to turn on a lighting device provided inside the aquarium and vertically move the lighting device in water by a wireless magnetic resonance method. Therefore, a light that can be maintained in a submerged state may be provided, thereby providing better aesthetic effects than existing lights of aquariums. In addition, additional devices such as a filter can be moved in water by using a magnetic field, thereby improving functional effects.

Abstract: Provided is an aquaculture system, including a water tank holding seawater and housing shellfish or fish to be cultivated, a water intake unit for introducing the seawater into the water tank, a draining unit for draining the seawater in the water tank, a first bubble generator that generates and supplies microbubbles with a diameter of not less than 10 μm and not more than 100 μm in the water tank, and a second bubble generator that generates and supplies nanobubbles with a diameter of not more than 10 μm in the water tank, wherein the seawater in the water tank is exchanged by simultaneously carrying out introduction of the seawater using the water intake unit and drainage of the seawater in the water tank using the draining unit.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include an aquarium having a non-disruptive filtration system. In one aspect, an apparatus includes a tank having a closed end and an open end, a lid removably positioned over the open end, and filter housing including a sidewall that, when fixedly position within the tank, encloses a first portion of the tank. Inlets in the sidewall maintain fluid communication between the first portion of the tank and a second portion of the tank. The filter housing includes a filter cartridge partitioning the enclosed first portion into a first chamber from a second chamber, a pump disposed within the second chamber, and a reservoir disposed within the second chamber at a distal end of the filter housing. The reservoir is connected to the pump across an elongated tube, and includes discharge lip across which pumped water discharges into the tank.

Abstract: The invention is a kit to produce a logo or picture on the bottom of an aquarium through the use of color stones. The method begins by creating or finding the picture. Next one converts the picture into areas. Each area has only one distinct color. The third step is to form an outline that encloses each of the areas. The next step is to transfer the outline from the logo to the surface. This surface can be the bottom of an aquarium or a separate surface. The fifth step is to form partitions on the outline on the surface. The partitions must be sufficiently deep to hold a least one layer of stones or sand. The last step is to place colored stones or colored sand within the partitions.

Abstract: The present invention consolidates and centrally organizes, among other things, the control of and communication with equipment and sensors placed in or adjacent to a habitat. In an embodiment of the invention, a system for controlling and recognizing habitat components comprises: a main controller comprising an integrated circuit (IC chip) containing information and programming for associated habitat components and a communication component for transferring updated programming and data to associated components via cable, WiFi, Bluetooth, or infrared; and a habitat component having an integrated circuit (IC chip) which contains operating data and acts as an identifier of the component, allowing an application on a smartphone or the main controller to automatically recognize the device and control programs.
