Abstract: Provided is a method for artificial rearing of porcupine pufferfish fries in indoor cement ponds. The method includes the following steps: indoor cement pond preparation, release hatched larvae into the indoor cement pond, feed and manage the larvae at different sub-stages of the fry rearing stages, water quality management during fry rearing, separate ponding of fries based on size of the fries, and transfer the fries to net cages or outdoor ponds when the fries reach a minimum length. The indoor cement pond preparation step may include disinfecting the pond and regulating the water quality. During the rearing stage, the method may include stimulating anti-stress physiological response of the larvae. The method may transfer fries with an average total length of more than 2.0 cm into net cages or outdoor ponds for aquaculture after 45 days of the rearing stage.

Abstract: Generating consensus biomass estimates include providing a first biomass parameter data set associated with a first biomass attribute parameter to a first biomass estimation model and providing a second biomass parameter data set associated with a second biomass attribute parameter to a second biomass estimation model different from the first biomass estimation model. The first biomass estimation model is adaptively weighted with a first weighting factor relative to a second weighting factor for the second biomass estimation model. An aggregated biomass estimate is determined based on a combination of the first biomass estimation model using the first weight factor and the second biomass estimation model using the second weight factor.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of raising fish in a recirculated aquaculture system which includes a fish holding unit in fluid communication with a water supply, the fish holding unit containing a volume of water defining a water depth, and having an osmotic concentration, an oxygen concentration, a temperature, and a pH. The method includes providing a flow of non-recirculated water to the water supply, the non-recirculated water being different from the water in the fish holding unit with respect to the osmotic concentration, the oxygen concentration, the CO2 concentration, the N2 concentration, the NH4+ concentration, the temperature and/or the pH, providing feed pellets, adding the feed pellets to the non-recirculated water and hydraulically transporting the feed pellets to the fish holding unit. Abstract: A delivery device and system to supplement CO2 in an underwater environment without the need for electricity or the use of compressed CO2. The device consists of a container containing a biological organism such as mycelium and including an exit portal for CO2 to enter the underwater environment. The device may also incorporate a separation device to delay and control the flow of CO2. The system requires the device to be held in place through a securing point in the underwater environment. The minimum requirements for the device are described, but in certain instances it will be preferably used with a double-bag or an outer shell housing to protect or aesthetically conceal the placement underwater. The use of this device and system to supplement carbon dioxide in water will span many industries and applications. It will assist with mosquito trapping. It will also supplement CO2 in underwater growing environments.

Abstract: A seaweed aquarium feeder allows fish to feed on seaweed aquarium food while preventing escape of the food into the aquarium water. The feeder includes a base and hinged lid which closes against the base. The lid includes a recessed seaweed holding windowed area which fits over a protruding area of the base. The food is captured between the recessed seaweed holding windowed area of the lid and the protruding area of the base. Windows in the recessed seaweed holding windowed area allow the fish access to the food. A magnet pocket in the base holds a first magnet the feeder is held against an aquarium wall by cooperation of the first magnet with a second magnet outside the aquarium.

Abstract: A pellet and flake aquarium fish feeder allows a fish keeper to conveniently feed aquarium fish. The pellet and flake feeder includes a body having separable upper and lower portions. The upper portion includes a cavity for storing the pellet and flake food and a plunger shaft including indented rings. When the pellet and flake feeder is filled with pellet and flake food and assembled, the plunger may be depressed forcing the pellet and flake food through a conical passage between the upper and the lower portions, grinding the pellet and flake food and releasing the ground food through an angled bottom of the lower portion and into aquarium water.
