The system additionally includes one or more sensors configured to obtain electromagnetic reflectance information for the crop material. The system further includes a control system configured to receive the electromagnetic reflectance information for the crop material and to generate vegetation index values for the bales of crop material based on the electromagnetic reflectance information.

摘要: A sensor assembly and method is described for calibrating a tensioning system. A first movement of a slack arm of the tensioning system may be identified. It may be determined that the slack arm has been maintained in a first calibration position for a first predetermined time interval, and a first calibration setting for the slack arm may be determined based upon the first calibration position. A second movement of a slack arm of the tensioning system may be identified. It may be determined that the slack arm has been maintained in a second calibration position for a second predetermined time interval, and a second calibration setting for the slack arm my be determined based upon the identified second calibration position.

摘要: A system is provided to utilize one or more video cameras placed proximal to one or more operating systems of a round baler and one or more signals on the baler to switch screens on a display to display video during bale ejection, crop feeding, twine or net wrapping and back up. The display switches screens back to other baler application when for example the ejection cycle is completed, the wrapping cycle is completed etc. This allows an operator to visually monitor various baler functions while facing forward and without the need to manually change setting on the display.

The baler includes a least one baling chamber configured to compress crop material into bales and at least one knotter assembly configured to tie securement lines around the bales. The system additionally includes one or more image sensors mounted to the baler and configured to monitor one or more of the knotter assembly, the securement lines, and the bales. The system further includes a control system configured to receive image data from the image sensors to determine if a mistie event has occurred.

摘要: A bale binding mechanism is configured to wrap twine around a bale of severed crop material. The bale binding mechanism broadly includes a baling needle, a twine tensioner, and a sensor. A baler chassis presents a baling chamber in which the bale is formed. The baling needle is shiftable up and down relative to the baling chamber, with the needle being shiftable to advance twine upwardly along an end of the bale. The twine tensioner is configured to maintain tension on a tensioned twine section extending between the twine tensioner and the needle, with the tensioned twine section defining a twine feed axis. The twine tensioner includes a tension device that restricts upward advancement of the tensioned twine section. The twine tensioner also includes a shiftable guide element. The guide element is shiftable into and out of a twine feed position associated with upward advancement of the twine section, with the guide element operable to define an offset twine section offset from the twine feed axis in the twine feed position. The sensor is operably associated with the guide element to sense guide element movement corresponding to a twine over-tension condition, with the bale binding mechanism restricting twine from being passed out of the twine tensioner in response to the sensed twine over-tension condition.
