摘要： A visual display device (10) is especially suited for use as a center-high-mounted stop-light (CHMSL) for an automobile rear window which slants downwardly from the horizontal by a small angle. The device (10) includes a linear light source (12) which preferably emits red light. A display panel (14) has a light receiving edge (14a) extending parallel and adjacent to the light source (12) and first and second opposing surfaces (14b, 14c). The second surface (14b) slants toward the first surface (14c) in a direction away from the edge (14a) and is formed with steps (14d) having walls (14e) which are angled toward the edge (14a) such that the peak output light propagating through the display panel (14) from the edge (14a) is refracted horizontally out of the panel (14). The walls (14e) of the steps (14d) are formed with laterally spaced depressions (14f) for lateral dispersion of light. In addition to use as a CHMSL, the display device (10) can be employed in other applications in which a uniform, linear light source is required.

摘要： A reception structure for a video/audio device includes a machine box having a surface on which a display is mounted. The display has one side by which a CD-ROM having an end is mounted. The machine box is received within a reception box and the end of CD-ROM of the machine box is pushed out from the reception box so that a CD is allowed to be accessed with respect to the CD-ROM when a locking mechanism is loosened. The locking mechanism for fixing the machine box within the reception box and a spring-out mechanism for pushing out the end of the CD-ROM of the machine box are disposed between the machine box and the reception box.

摘要： An improved headrest with adjustable connecting tubes is disclosed. The improved headrest comprises a main body, two connecting tubes, a socket unit and several pairs of intermediate connecting tubes. A plurality of threaded insertion holes are provided on the lower side of the main body, and the two connecting tubes may be inserted into these holes. The threaded insertion holes are spaced apart. The rectangular holes allow the adjustment in the distance between the two connecting tubes. The intermediate connecting tubes have several different diameters so that the intermediate connecting tubes may be connected with the bolts provided on the backrests of a seat for different models of automobiles. Hence, by adjusting the distance between the connecting tubes and selecting intermediate connecting tubes with a suitable diameter, the main body may be connected to the backrest of a seat for different models and makes of automobiles.

摘要： A display device which is especially suited for application as a center-high-mounted stop-light (CHMSL) or brake light for an automotive vehicle includes a white linear light source. A coupler panel or sheet formed of a fluorescent dye-doped material couples light from one edge therethrough to an opposite edge from the light source to a light receiving edge of a display panel. The coupler panel transmits red light therethrough, absorbs other colors of light, and re-emits the absorbed light as red light. The display panel has a first surface formed with optical quality, light reflecting grooves, which reflect and disperse the edge coupled light out a second surface which is opposite to the first surface. Each groove includes a series of laterally spaced curved light dispersing depressions. The display panel viewed from the first surface is transparent at all times. The display panel viewed from the second surface produces a red light pattern reflected from the grooves when the light source is turned on, and appears transparent when the light source is turned off.

摘要： An image searching module and a searching method thereof are applicable to motion estimation of a dynamic image-processing system. The image searching module comprises a storage module, a setting module, and a processing module. The storage module stores a first frame, and the first frame has a first block and a first pixel. The setting module sets a plurality of first estimation blocks with a first estimation pixel and a first interval as a side length in a second frame. The setting module sets an initiation point on the position corresponding to the first pixel in the second frame, and arranges these first estimation blocks in order along a predetermined direction. The processing module matches each first estimation block and the first block to work out respectively a first predicted strength value of each first estimation block corresponding to the first block.
