    Abstract: A system described herein may provide a scheduling technique for physical radio frequency (“RF”) resources of a base station of a radio access network (“RAN”) of a wireless network. Resources for a first group of User Equipment (“UEs”) may be allocated during or prior to a first time slot, and the UEs may be notified during the first time slot of the allocated resources. The allocated resources may be provided during a subsequent second time slot. A second group of UEs may be notified, during the first time slot, of physical RF resources allocated for downlink data for the second group of resources, and such downlink data may be provided to the second group of UEs during the first time slot via the allocated physical RF resources. The assignments of the UEs to the respective groups may change over time based on network load or other metrics.

    Abstract: Systems and methods provide for configuring, by a first wireless station using radio resource control (RRC), a plurality of Fifth Generation (5G) wireless stations associated with 5G secondary cell groups (SCGs), wherein the first wireless station is associated with a first anchor cell for the SCGs; determining, by the wireless station, that a dual connectivity (DC) user equipment (UE) device has a wireless connection to a first 5G wireless station via a first 5G cell, wherein a second 5G SCG is associated with a second one of the 5G wireless stations and the DC-UE device is located in an area associated with the first anchor cell and in an area associated with a second anchor cell; and switching, using a media access control (MAC) control element (CE) of the DC-UE device, the wireless connection from the first 5G cell to the second 5G cell.

    Abstract: A system described herein may output, during a particular time window (e.g., in a simulation environment), a series of wireless transmissions to one or more User Equipment (“UEs”) of a particular type. The series of wireless transmissions may include first set of transmissions associated with a first set of parameters and a second set of transmissions associated with a second set of parameters. The system may receive channel quality measurements from the one or more UEs, and may identify a measure of variance between the channel quality measurements from the one or more UEs. The system may generate a reliability score associated with the particular type of UE based on the identified measure of variance, and may output, to a wireless network, the reliability score associated with the particular type of UE. The wireless network may communicate with UEs of the particular type based on the reliability score.

    Abstract: A base station may include a processor configured to configure a default time period for periodic service requests for discontinuous reception (DRX) for user equipment (UE) devices serviced by the base station. The processor may be further configured to obtain a signal quality value for a UE device serviced by the base station; determine that the obtained signal quality value is less than a low signal quality threshold; and configure a longer time period for the periodic service requests for DRX for the UE device, in response to determining that the obtained signal quality value is less than the low signal quality threshold.
