Abstract:
In a collapsible mold and a method of manufacturing the same, the collapsible mold has extremely low moisture-absorption properties, does not change in surface properties thereof due to absorption of moisture and swelling, and is storable for a long time without absorbing moisture and swelling. Specifically, the method manufactures a collapsible mold containing at least any of calcium oxide and magnesium oxide. The method includes a step of bringing the collapsible mold into contact with carbon dioxide immediately after a step of burning the collapsible mold or a step of casting the collapsible mold.
Abstract:
An egg white hydrolysate having a reduced sulfur smell characteristic to egg white and a production method therefor are provided. An egg white hydrolysate having a low hydrogen sulfide content and a reduced sulfur smell can be obtained through a pretreatment step of denaturing egg white by thermally treating a diluted egg white solution under conditions of a pH of 9 to 12 and a temperature of 55° C. to 90° C., the diluted egg white solution having been prepared by diluting 1 part of liquid egg white with 0.4 to 3 parts of water, and a step of performing hydrolysis with a protease.

Abstract:
A system and method for using a portable enclosure system for conducting on-site demonstrations of semiconductor processing operations or as a temporary clean room. A vehicle transports an environmentally-controlled enclosure including a semiconductor processing workspace, preparation area, and entrance area, from a first location to a second location. An air suspension device and trailer are included in one embodiment. Air suspension devices and an enclosed truck are included in another embodiment. In yet another embodiment, the environmentally-controlled enclosure system includes a viewing mechanism, which allows for visual inspection of the internal portion of the enclosure from outside of the controlled environment, especially advantageous during demonstrations.
Abstract:
An apparatus for converting thermal energy to mechanical motion including a frame mounted onto an axle above a heat source. A flow circuit including at least three elongate chambers connected by fluid conduits is mounted onto the frame, and one-way valves provided in the flow circuit permit one-way fluid flow within the flow circuit. The heat source heats a motive fluid contained within the chambers beyond its boiling point, which increases the vapor pressure within the heated chamber, thereby forcing fluid out of the chamber and into the chamber immediately downstream in the flow circuit. The increased weight of the downstream chamber creates a torque about the axle, rotating the frame in an upstream direction.
Abstract:
An improved system and method for obtaining data related to the operation of a processing system which converts from analog measurement data, usually obtained from meters and gages, to digital data. Visual images of various types of measuring instruments are collected and used for measuring a process functionality. An image sensor provides an image of a first feature of the measuring instrument. The image data is processed by an image processor, which is operable to detect a first feature and determine its position relative to a second feature of the measuring instrument. The difference in the relative positions (measured distance) can then be compared to a predetermined or expected value. If the measured and expected values are not substantially the same, a signal can be generated which instructs a controller to adjust the process functionality until the measured value reaches the expected value.
Abstract:
A pressure-sensitive resistance element comprising a first contact electrode formed on a first electrically insulating base plate, a second contact electrode formed on a second electrically insulating base plate disposed facing the first contact electrode, a first and/or a second pressure-sensitive electrically conductive layer formed on the whole surface of at least one of the first and second contact electrode regions, and a first and/or second pressure-sensitive electrically conduct pattern formed on at least one of the pressure-sensitive electrically conductive layer and the contact electrode having no pressure-sensitive electrically conductive layer thereon.
Abstract:
An apparatus for stabilizing a laser beam to be used for exposure in an image-reproducing apparatus wherein said beam is suitably controlled by image signals obtained from the scanning of the original beam as modulated. A laser beam, after being suitably modulated by an ultrasonic light modulator, is branched out by a half mirror into two beams, one of which is to be used for exposing a photosensitive material and the other is used as a negative feedback signal. This feedback signal is then added to an image signal so that a linearity between exposing beam and image signals are greatly improved. Further, by improving the linearity of exposing beam, the stability of the exposing beam is simultaneously improved.
Abstract:
An electrically conductive adhesive composition which provides electric conductivity between facing electrodes but maintains electric insulation in the lateral direction across the facing direction, said composition comprising (a) a nonconductive base resin and (b) electrically conductive particles incorporated and dispersed in the resin (a); wherein(I) said electrically conductive particles (b) are composed of(b-1) 10 to 75%, based on the total weight of the components (a), (b-1) and (b-2), of abrasive grain-like electrically conductive particles having an average particle diameter of at least 1 micrometer, and(b-2) 0.2 to 20% by weight, based on the total weight of the components (a), (b-1) and (b-2), of electrically conductive fine particles having an average particle diameter of not more than 0.5 micrometer, and(II) said electrically conductive adhesive composition contains a solvent for said base resin (a) in an amount required to form said composition into the state of a printing ink or a paint.
Abstract:
Apparatus and method for generating screened halftone images, which includes means for assuming an area of halftone dots with desired periodicity and tone reproducibility, subdividing the area into minute cells and setting address values (X, Y) for each of the minute cells, computing out a threshold value of density for each of said cells as a function f (X, Y) of the relevant address values (X, Y), and using the computed value as threshold value of density for the cell, means for obtaining a density-related video signal of the portion of the original corresponding to each of said cells by scanning the original, and means for producing halftone dot signals by comparing the video signals and the threshold value of density with each other.
