    Abstract: A vibration damping device having improved air-tightness of a chamber holding a rolling mass in an oscillatable manner is provided. A cover member that covers an oscillating range of the rolling mass liquid-tightly or air-tightly comprises a first flange and a second flange. The first flange is pushed onto one of lateral faces of a holding member by a first pushing member fitted onto a rotary member while being prevented to move axially to seal a clearance between the holding member and the first flange by a first sealing member. The second flange is pushed onto the other lateral face of the holding member by a second pushing member fitted onto the rotary member while being prevented to move axially to seal a clearance between the holding member and the second flange by a second sealing member.

    Abstract: A vibration damping device in which a covering member can be fixed firmly to a rotary member by a rivet is provided. In the vibration damping device, a pendulum mass 14 is held in a rotary member 15, and a casing 17 is fixed to the rotary member 15 by a rivet 20. The rivet 20 comprises a head 20a, a first shaft 20b and a second shaft 20c. The first shaft 20a penetrates through a first casing member 18, the rotary member 15 and the second casing member 19, and a tail thereof is expanded to fasten those members. The second shaft 20c penetrates through a driven member, and a tail thereof is expanded to fasten the driven member to the rotary member 15.

    Abstract: An electric vehicle is provided with an electric motor serving as a driving source and is not provided with an internal combustion engine from which power is transmitted to drive wheels driven by power from the electric motor. The electric vehicle includes: a torque converter that is disposed coaxially with an output shaft of the electric motor, and to which the power is transmitted from the electric motor; an automatic transmission disposed on a power transmission path between the electric motor and the drive wheels, and configured to achieve a shift stage at which the power is interrupted; and a mechanical oil pump driven by the power from the electric motor, and disposed on the power transmission path, at a position upstream of the automatic transmission in a direction of power transmission from the electric motor to the drive wheels.
