摘要: A secondary battery is installed on an electric vehicle and includes a cooling fan, a temperature sensor and a controller. The controller is configured to drive the cooling fan at a fixed command value for a predetermined period, when the temperature of the secondary battery becomes equal to or higher than a first predetermined temperature after the electric vehicle is started. The controller is configured to detect a presence or absence of an abnormality in the cooling fan based on an actual rotational speed of the cooling fan during the predetermined period. The controller is configured to inhibit driving of the cooling fan at the fixed command value when the temperature of the secondary battery is equal to or higher than a second predetermined temperature that is higher than the first predetermined temperature.

摘要: A vehicle includes an electrical storage device, an auxiliary load, a charger configured to charge the electrical storage device with power supplied from a power supply outside the vehicle, and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to create an actuation schedule of the auxiliary load during charging of the electrical storage device, before initiation of the charging. The electronic control unit is configured to learn charging power of the electrical storage device for each actuation pattern of the auxiliary load during the charging. The electronic control unit is configured to estimate a required time period for the charging based on a learned value of the charging power, an execution time period of each of the actuation patterns, and a total charging power amount of the electrical storage device. The electronic control unit sets initiation time of the charging in accordance with the estimated required time period.

摘要: A battery pack includes a plurality of modules connected in series to one another. Each of the plurality of modules includes a plurality of cells connected in parallel to one another. If a first condition and a second condition are satisfied, an ECU diagnoses an abnormality in which a current path of a cell included in any module breaks. The first condition is a condition that the voltage difference between the maximum voltage and the minimum voltage among a plurality of voltage values is less than a reference value before execution of plug-in charging control, each of the plurality of voltage values being detected by a corresponding one of a plurality of voltage sensors. The second condition is a condition that the voltage difference between the maximum voltage and a voltage is more than or equal to the reference value after execution of the plug-in charging control.

摘要: A cooling system for cooling a main battery 10 includes a cooling fan 40 and a temperature sensor 61 configured to detect a battery temperature TB. The cooling system performs constant control in which the cooling fan 40 is driven at a constant command value when the battery temperature TB reaches or exceeds a first temperature T0 after startup of the electrically powered vehicle. Additionally, the cooling system detects whether or not a malfunction occurs in the cooling fan 40, based on an actual rpm of the cooling fan 40 obtained during the constant control. The cooling system performs the constant control in a situation in which charging of the main battery 10 is continued for a predetermined period of time or longer after the startup of the vehicle, regardless of whether the battery temperature TB is below the first temperature T0.

摘要: An ECU sets a SOC estimated from an OCV at the time of activating a system of a vehicle as an initial SOC value in the case where the SOC during a stop of the system is higher than a first SOC, which represents the SOC estimated from the OCV at the time of activating the system by using a discharging curve line, or the SOC during the stop of the system is lower than a second SOC, which represents the SOC estimated from the OCV at the time of activating the system by using a charging curve line. The ECU sets the SOC during the stop of the system as the initial SOC value in the case where the SOC during the stop of the system is equal to or lower than the first SOC and is equal to or higher than the second SOC.

摘要: A secondary battery system includes an assembled battery that includes a plurality of blocks that are connected in series to one another. Each of the plurality of the blocks includes same number of cells that are connected in parallel to one another. A control device is configured to calculate an internal resistance ratio and a protection current. The internal resistance ratio is a value obtained by dividing the higher one of internal resistances by the lower one of the internal resistances of two of the plurality of the blocks. The protection current is a value obtained by multiplying the internal resistance ratio by a current value of the assembled battery detected by a current sensor. The control device is configured to perform the charge-discharge control based on the protection current.
