摘要: A drug supply device for supplying drug to a living body surface that includes a shaft and a drug holding sheet attached to the distal end of the shaft. The drug holding sheet has a first face that faces distally and a second face opposite the first face that faces proximally when the drug holding sheet is expanded. The drug holding sheet includes folded portions that fold such that the first face is positioned to face radially inward while exposing the second face to an outside environment when the drug holding sheet is in a folded state. A drug is applied on the first face of the drug holding sheet. The drug supply device includes an expandable member on the second face of the drug holding sheet. The expandable member is expandable to cause the drug holding sheet to expand from the folded state into the expanded state.

摘要: A medical apparatus for joining body lumens in a living body includes a puncture member having a lumen, a distal opening portion and a needle tip at the distal end of the lumen. The needle tip can puncture a tube wall of the body lumen to form a puncture site. The medical apparatus includes a tubular member in the lumen of the puncture member that expands radially outward and contracts radially inward and a plunger movable relative to the puncture member to release the tubular member from the distal opening portion of the puncture member. The tubular member expands to be fixed to the puncture site when the tubular member is released from the distal opening portion of the puncture member.

摘要: A device for treating the lumen of a living body includes a shaft insertable into a blood vessel, and a balloon provided on the shaft and shiftable between a deflated state and an expanded state. In the expanded state, the balloon has a recessed portion configured to form a coating chamber which is substantially blocked between an inner surface of the blood vessels and the device for treating the lumen of a living body, a discharge port provided on the recessed portion to discharge a coating substance toward the coating chamber; and a suction port provided on the recessed portion to apply a negative pressure to the coating chamber.

摘要: A medical device of which the surface exhibits lubricity and/or antithrombotic activity when wet. The medical device includes a base material layer, and a hydrophilic layer that is supported on at least a portion of the base material layer, in which the hydrophilic layer is obtained by forming a crosslinked structure by reacting a compound having plural thiol groups in a molecule with a compound having reactive functional groups binding to the thiol group and hydrophilic groups in a molecule, and the reactive functional groups are thiol groups, alkenyl groups, acryl groups, or methacryl groups.

摘要: An injection device is described including a detection unit that includes an electrode that detects electrical characteristics of a biological tissue, a follow-up mechanism that follows motions of the biological tissue, and a puncture unit capable of puncturing the biological tissue. The injection device is configured to administer a predetermined substance to the biological tissue through a hollow portion defined in the puncture unit. A position of the puncture unit is specified based on a position of the electrode. The follow-up mechanism includes a spiral portion spirally extending around the puncture unit, and being stretchable and compressible along an extending direction of the puncture unit. Electrodes are disposed on an annular distal-end projected plane of the spiral portion, as seen from a distal end side of the puncture unit, along a circumferential direction of the puncture unit.
