    摘要: Methods and network devices estimate power of signals received from a user equipment in a sector of a cellular network cell using a data signal, which is not a predetermined reference signal. An exemplary method includes (1) saving a data signal received from the user equipment in a first sector of the cellular network cell, (2) acquiring a reference signal that corresponds to the data signal as received in a second sector of the cell and demodulated, and (3) comparing the saved data signal and the reference signal to estimate power of the data signal as received in the first sector.

In one of its aspects, the technology presented herein concerns a method performed by a base station 210 for selecting a transmission rank. The method may advantageously be carried out when the base station 210 is operating in a shared cell 200. The base station receives a channel-state report from a user equipment. Also, a channel quality parameter is estimated by the base station 210. Furthermore, the base station 210 selects the transmission rank (e.g. transmission rank 1 or transmission rank 2) on the basis of the received channel-state report as well as the estimated channel quality parameter.

    摘要: The present teachings relates to methods performed in a network node of a wireless communication network. The method comprises: broadcasting one or more threshold values enabling the wireless devices to determine fulfillment of one or more criteria for selecting a contention based random access preamble either from a first preamble group or from a second preamble group for use in a contention based random access procedure; transmitting to a selected wireless device one or more threshold values using dedicated signaling, the one or more threshold values sent in the dedicated signaling overriding a corresponding broadcasted threshold value and being set so that the wireless device fulfills the criteria to select a preamble from the first preamble group, wherein the threshold values sent on the dedicated signaling differ from the broadcast threshold values; and prioritizing preambles of the first preamble group over preambles of the second preamble group.

SPS transmissions and automatic retransmissions are applied for the at least two wireless devices. A time difference between an SPS transmission and an automatic retransmission related to the SPS transmission is determined by a round trip time value. The method is performed in a radio base station serving the cell. The method comprises determining at least two different sets of frequency resources for the SPS transmissions of the at least two wireless devices. The method further comprises allocating frequency resources for the SPS transmissions of the at least two wireless devices within an SPS period, such that the allocated frequency resources change between two of the at least two different sets every round trip time value.

    摘要: The present disclosure relates to a method in a scheduling node for selecting a downlink resource allocation scheme in a mobile communication network including a plurality of at least partially overlapping sectors. The selected downlink resource allocation scheme is applicable to downlink transmission in at least a current transmission time interval to user equipments located in a one or more of the plurality of at least partially overlapping sectors. The disclosed method comprises the step of selecting a set of user equipments connected to the scheduling node. For each user equipment in the selected set of user equipments, the method further comprises the step of determining sector isolation properties of each sector. A downlink resource allocation scheme is selected wherein at least one sector is disabled for downlink transmission to user equipment in the set of user equipments based on determined sector isolation properties. The disclosure also relates to a method of allocating downlink data transmission resources in a mobile communication network, a scheduling node and a computer program comprising computer program code executed in the scheduling node.

    摘要: The present teachings relates to a method for sector selection performed in a network node of a communication system. The communication system comprises two or more sectors using a common cell identification, the two or more sectors each providing uplink and/or downlink connections to wireless devices located within a coverage area of the sectors. The method comprises: estimating, for a wireless device, a sector combining gain, wherein the sector combining gain is related to an increment in spectrum efficiency for the wireless device, and selecting one or more of the sectors for use by the wireless device based on an adjustable sector selection criterion, wherein a sector is selected if the estimated sector combining gain fulfills the adjustable sector selection criterion.
