    摘要: To provide an R-T-B based permanent magnet having a high residual magnetic flux density Br at room temperature and a high coercivity HcJ at high temperature. In the R-T-B based permanent magnet, R is a rare earth element, T is an iron group element, and B is boron, and the R-T-B based permanent magnet includes a light rare earth element and a heavy rare earth element as R. The R-T-B based permanent magnet further includes Al, Ga, and Zr. With respect to 100 mass % of the R-T-B based permanent magnet, a total content of R is 28.50 mass % to 30.25 mass % (not including 28.50 mass %), B content is 0.93 mass % to 0.98 mass %, Al content is 0.03 mass % to 0.19 mass %, Ga content is 0.03 mass % to 0.15 mass %, and Zr content is 0.30 mass % to 0.50 mass %.

R—O—C—N concentrated parts in a surface of an R-T-B based permanent magnet have RH/R ratio (atomic ratio) of 0.2 or less.

B is boron. An average grain size of the main phase grains is 0.8 μm or more and 2.8 μm or less. The R-T-B based permanent magnet contains at least C and Zr in addition to R, T, and B. B is contained at 0.75 mass % or more and 0.88 mass % or less. Zr is contained at 0.65 mass % or more and 5.00 mass % or less. A formula (1) of 5.0≤[B]+[C]−[Zr]≤5.6 is satisfied, where [B] is a B content represented by atom %, [C] is a C content represented by atom %, and [Zr] is a Zr content represented by atom %.

The low RH crystal phases include the R2T14B type crystal structure, wherein an RH concentration in the low RH crystal phases is relatively lower than the RH concentration in the whole main phase particles. The R-T-B based sintered magnet may satisfy rs−rc≥20% when an existence ratio of the main phase particles including the low RH crystal phases in a magnet surface layer part is rs (%) and the same in a magnet central part is rc (%).

    摘要: The present invention provides an R-T-B based sintered magnet that inhibits the demagnetization rate at high temperature even when less or no heavy rare earth elements such as Dy, Tb and the like are used. The R-T-B based sintered magnet comprises R2T14B crystal grains and two-grain boundary parts between the R2T14B crystal grains. Two-grain boundary parts formed by a phase containing R, Cu, Co, Ga and Fe with a ratio of 40≤R≤70, 1≤Co≤10, 5≤Cu≤50, 1≤Ga≤15, and 1≤Fe≤40 (wherein, R+Cu+Co+Ga+Fe=100, and R is at least one selected from rare earth elements) exists in the magnet.
