    Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for the presentation of images in a head-mounted display (HMD). One HMD includes a screen, a processor, inertial sensors, a motion tracker module, and a display adjuster module. The motion tracker tracks motion of the HMD based on inertial data from the inertial sensors, and the display adjuster produces modified display data for an image frame to be scanned to the screen if the motion of the HMD is greater than a threshold amount of motion. The display data includes pixel values to be scanned to rows in sequential order, and the modified display data includes adjusted pixel values for pixels in a current pixel row of the image frame to compensate for the distance traveled by the HMD during a time elapsed between scanning a first pixel row of the image frame and scanning the current pixel row of the image frame.

    Abstract: Methods and systems of pairing controllers for game play are presented. In one example, a method of pairing controllers to a base computing device for playing a game executed on the base computing device is provided. The method includes receiving a pairing request from one of a first or a second controller. The pair request is generated in response physical contact between the first and second controllers. The method assigns the first and second controllers as a first pairing for a first player and assigns the first pairing to a first color. The method includes transmitting the first color to the first or second controllers, such that at least one of the first and second controllers for the first pairing is configured to illuminate in the first color. Additional pairs of controllers will be assigned a different color, so that each player has a differentiated color on their respective controller.

    Abstract: Audio fingerprinting and other media matching technologies can be used to identify broadcast media, such as television shows and radio broadcasts. A user device can record image, audio, and/or video information and upload information to a matching service that is able to use matching technology to identify the media and provide supplemental content or information to the user. The user might receive information identifying a product in an advertisement, identifying an actor on screen in a movie at a particular time, or other such information. In some embodiments, the user can receive access to a digital copy of the captured media, such as the ability to download a copy of a program in which a user expressed interest. Since a user might capture media information after the point of interest, a device can buffer a window of recently captured media in order to attempt to identify the intended media.
