Abstract: Computed tomography (CT) measurement data of the patient is acquired using a CT device having a quantum counting X-ray detector, and the CT measurement data is processed to generate result data, considering a specific information content of the CT measurement data resulting from the use of the quantum counting X-ray detector in acquiring the CT measurement data. The result data is suitable for use in the planning of irradiation of the patient. The result data is provisioned to an interface such that the result data is usable for planning the irradiation of the patient.

Abstract: A method and system for processing medical image data are disclosed. In an embodiment, the method includes providing measurement data of a to be reproduced body region of a patient; reconstructing, using a reconstruction algorithm, a first image volume representing the body region from the measurement data; identifying a subregion representing a partial volume of the first image volume, confining the subregion within the first image volume, and assigning a specific tissue structure, differing from a remaining volume of the first image volume, to the subregion; determining, based upon the specific tissue structure of the subregion, at least one reconstruction parameter varying in comparison to the first image volume; reconstructing, from the measurement data linked with the subregion and based upon the at least one reconstruction parameter, a second image volume; and contouring, within at least the second image volume, structure boundaries between different anatomical structures of the patient.

Abstract: A method is for providing a medical image of a patient, acquired via a computed tomography apparatus. An embodiment of the method includes acquiring first projection data of a first measurement region; acquiring second projection data of a second measurement region; registering a reference image to the at least one respiration-correlated image of the patient, wherein the reference image corresponds to the at least one functional image of the patient or is reconstructed under a second reconstruction rule from the second projection data, to produce a deformation model; applying the deformation model to the at least one functional image of the patient; combining the at least one functional image of the patient, deformed by the applying of the deformation model, with the at least one respiration-correlated image of the patient, to produce the medical image of the patient; and providing the medical image of the patient.

Abstract: A method is for providing a medical image of a patient. The method includes acquiring medical measurement data of the patient, including a set of multiple sampled state combinations; a first state space, including first physiological states, and a second state space, including second physiological states, together spanning a third state space. Each of the combinations includes a state from the first and second state spaces, and the third state space includes the set of combinations. The method further includes generating a medical image of the patient using the medical measurement data acquired, including a further state combination; the further state combination including a state from the first and second state space, the third state space including the further state combination, and the further state combination lying within the third state space outside the set of combinations. Finally, the method includes providing the medical image of the patient generated.

Abstract: A method and a system are for calculating an output from a tomographic scrollable image stack, including a large number of generated sectional images of a tissue to be examined. In this context, a tomographic scrollable image stack is received. An output for a display is calculated. The output includes a primary image that is intended for representing the received image stack, and the output includes a secondary image with additional information. The secondary image is displayed overlaid on the primary image once an unhide signal or hide signal is received. In this context, a reference may be provided between the additional information of the secondary image and the slice of tissue for examination that is shown in the sectional image of the image stack.

Abstract: A method is for generating image data using a computer tomography device. CT raw data is provided. An initial image is produced from the CT raw data. The initial image is segmented into regions based upon anatomical features. An image mask corresponding to the regions in each case is produced for the initial image, the image mask defining an effective region for a respectively assigned mapping rule. The mapping rules are applied in the effective regions defined by the respective image masks, and the image data is generated based upon the initial image processed via the mapping rules.

Abstract: A method for operating an imaging X-ray device, and the imaging X-ray device, are disclosed for acquisition of projection images. In an embodiment, X-rays are emitted from at least one X-ray source and, after passing through a tunnel-shaped examination region, acquired by at least one X-ray detector. At least the X-ray source is moved on a circular path or a circular arc section about a center of rotation in a plane of rotation. Herein, a patient couch is moved in a feed direction extending perpendicularly to the plane of rotation. According to at least one embodiment of the invention, a pitch factor is specified characterizing a feed of the patient couch in each unit of time as a function of an at least approximately ascertained position and/or extension of a region to be mapped in the plane of rotation with respect to the center of rotation.
