Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for providing a web service in a wireless communication system. The apparatus for providing the web service includes: a proxy unit receiving/sending data through the internet; a packet data conversion protocol (PDCP) unit producing and outputting at least one PDCP protocol data unit (PDU) by using the data; and a control unit monitoring the data received from the proxy unit and controlling the proxy unit to transmit data of a size acceptable by the PDCP unit on the basis of the data capacity of the PDCP unit.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for transmitting an encrypted message between terminals, comprising the steps of: if a message application is executed on a screen of a terminal, running a keyboard that provides a security mode selection button in the message application execution window; if a user input with respect to the selecting button is sensed, receiving and temporarily storing the message that the user is inputting after switching to the security mode; and if an instruction indicating that writing has been completed is sensed through the keyboard, encrypting the message.
Abstract:
A method of controlling congestion in a base station of a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes receiving a Service Data Unit (SDU) that includes pieces of data forwarded through a caching proxy, driving a timer each time an SDU is received for processing the SDU using a communication protocol, determining whether the SDU has been processed using the communication protocol until expiration of the timer, and controlling a transmission rate of the caching proxy based on a number of SDUs consecutively discarded or a number of SDUs consecutively transmitted depending on whether the timer has expired.
Abstract:
According to the present invention, a base station determines from a wireless communication system whether data to be transmitted is a response signal-required data that requires a response signal, estimates the amount of buffer of a user equipment (UE) at the point when the response signal is to be transmitted, predicts a required resource amount of the UE that is required for transmitting the response signal by using the buffer amount of the UE that is estimated, and schedules for allocating a resource to the UE on the basis of the required resource amount that is predicted.

Abstract:
A communication technique for combining a fifth generation (5G) communication system that supports higher data transmission rates after fourth generation (4G) systems with Internet of things (IoT) technology and to the system therefor are provided. The disclosure relates to a multiple cores-based data processing method and apparatus, the method including determining whether a condition for a first packet flow among one or more packet flows for data communication is met, if the condition is met, selecting cores to distribute packets of the first packet flow from among the multiple cores, allocating packets received through the first packet flow to the selected cores, and operating the selected cores in parallel to process the packets allocated from the first packet flow.
Abstract:
In the present invention, a base station determines from a communication system whether a first content, which is requested by a mobile terminal, is saved on a cache memory, attributes a predetermined priority ranking to the first content and saves same on the cache memory when the first content is not saved on the cache memory, and updates the priority ranking of the first content on the basis of a predicted popularity of the first content, wherein the predicted popularity is decided on the basis of change in the number of views of a content that corresponds to a category of the first content.
Abstract:
A method for controlling data flow by a proxy server connected between a User Equipment (UE) and a content server is disclosed. The proxy server estimates a first amount of data reception indicating an amount of data received by the UE and calculates a second amount of data reception indicating an amount of data received by the proxy server from the content server. The proxy server delays transmission of acknowledgement (ACK) on data received by the proxy server from the content server and waits until a time allowed for the transmission, if the second amount of data reception is greater than the first amount of data reception by a predetermined threshold. The resent disclosure may prevent a waste of network load and unnecessary resources by the proxy server controlling download data rate from the content server.
