A mobile device is provided. The mobile device includes a communication unit configured to communicate with a plurality of counterpart mobile devices; a display unit; and a controller configured to control the communication unit to transmit a request for participation in an ad-hoc network to the plurality of counterpart mobile devices, receive an acceptance signal from at least one counterpart mobile device among the plurality of counterpart mobile devices, to control the display unit to provide status information on the participation in the ad-hoc network based on the received acceptance signal, such that the at least one counterpart mobile device, which transmits the acceptance signal, reproduces a content which is being reproduced in the mobile device.
Abstract:
A server and a method are provided for providing personalized information in a content providing system. The server includes a communicator; and a controller configured to, based on a user input being input to a user apparatus for receiving personalized information, receive through the communicator information from the user apparatus, perform authentication on the user apparatus based on the received information, and based on the authentication being successful, control the communicator to transmit the personalized information corresponding to the authentication to the user apparatus. The personalized information depends on the authentication.

Location information of original contents is added to metadata of contents provided via the network to thereby increase convenience of access to the original contents and modify attributes of contents that are provided, to be suitable for the performance of the contents receiving device.
