Abstract: The present invention relates to an electronic device, and to an electronic device and method for controlling wireless charging. To this end, a wireless power reception device according to the present invention comprises: a power reception unit for wirelessly receiving power from a wireless power transmission device; a power source unit charged with the received power; and a processor, wherein the processor can be configured to: measure the temperature according to the received power; measure at least one of a frequency, a voltage, and transmission power of a transmission coil in the wireless power transmission device when the measured temperature is higher than that of a first threshold; identify whether alignment with the wireless power transmission device is in a match state or a mismatch state by comparing the measured value and a preset value; transmit, to the wireless power transmission device, a first control signal for controlling power to be received from the wireless power transmission device when the alignment is in a mismatch state; and receive power controlled based on the transmitted first control signal.

Abstract: Provided are a battery charging method and an electronic device. The electronic device includes a connector that includes a first terminal to which a voltage is applied by an external charger and a second terminal for transmitting and receiving data, and a first charging circuit configured to charge a battery of the electronic device by using the voltage applied to the first terminal. The first charging circuit may include a communication circuit configured to transmit information related to the battery through the second terminal, a voltage converter configured to convert a voltage supplied to the battery and a first controller circuit configured to obtain first information regarding a voltage of the battery, control the communication circuit to transmit the first information to a charger connected with the connector, and control the voltage converter to charge the battery using a voltage adjusted based on the first information by the charger, if the adjusted voltage is applied to the first terminal.
