    Abstract: Techniques for introducing Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) repetition capability for messages exchanged between a base station and UE are introduced. In an embodiment, a mechanism for introducing PUCCH repetition to a HARQ-ACK feedback may be employed by sending the indication request in an uplink allocation prior to the PUCCH repetition being configured for the UE's HARQ signals. In one example, a UE allocates a request for PUCCH repetition with Msg3 in a random access exchange, such that the base station can provide the HARQ feedback with its ensuing Msg4 communication using PUCCH repetition.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses in a wireless communication system. A method of a UE comprises: receiving, from a base station (BS) in a non-terrestrial network (NTN), a system information block (SIB); determining that the SIB includes first neighboring cell information and first timing information associated therewith; determining that a first neighboring cell is not a candidate cell for a cell selection or re-selection operation when a current time is before or equal to a time indicated by the first timing information; and determining that the first neighboring cell is a candidate cell for the cell selection or re-selection operation when the current time is after the time indicated by the first timing information.

    Abstract: A reduced capability (RedCap) user equipment (UE) includes a transceiver configured to receive a message including (i) one or more random access (RA) configurations and (ii) a contention free random access (CFRA) resource configuration including an indication of a number of message 1 (Msg1) repetitions. The RedCap UE further includes a processor operatively coupled to the transceiver. The Processor is configured to determine (i) whether a RA configuration, from the one or more RA configurations is associated with a RedCap feature, and (ii) whether the RA configuration is associated with the number of Msg1 repetitions included in the CFRA resource configuration, based on a result of the determination, select a first RA configuration, from the one or more RA configurations, and perform a RA procedure according to the selected first RA configuration.

    Abstract: A UE includes a transceiver. The transceiver is configured to transmit a UE capability information message including an indication that the UE supports multiple TAs per serving cell for multi-TRP operation, and receive a RRC reconfiguration message including a plurality of TAG IDs for a serving cell and a mapping between a plurality of TCI states and the plurality of TAG IDs for the serving cell. The UE further includes a processor operably coupled to the transceiver. The processor is configured to determine, based on the mapping, a TAG ID from the plurality of TAG IDs that corresponds with at least one TCI state from the plurality of TCI states. The mapping is signaled per BWP of the serving cell. The transceiver is further configured to transmit, to the serving cell, a RA preamble to obtain a TA for a TAG of the serving cell.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for contention window adjustment on a sidelink (SL) in a wireless communication system. A method of a user equipment (UE) includes determining whether hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback is available after a last update of a contention window size (CW); determining a set of HARQ feedback corresponding to physical sidelink shared channels (PSSCHs) in a reference duration when the at least one HARQ feedback is determined as available; and determining a first condition based on the set of HARQ feedback. The method further includes determining to: reset the CW to a minimum allowed value when the first condition is satisfied or increase the CW to a next higher allowed value when the first condition is not. The method further includes performing a SL channel access procedure based on the CW and performing a SL transmission over a channel after successfully performing the SL channel access procedure.
