    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for random access procedures with spatial settings. A method of operating a user equipment includes receiving a system information block (SIB). The SIB indicates a set of channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS) resources for CSI-RSs, a set of random access occasions (ROs), and a mapping between the set of ROs and the set of CSI-RS resources. The method further includes determining a first RO from the set of ROs for transmission of a first physical random access channel (PRACH), determining a first spatial setting for the first PRACH transmission based on a first CSI-RS resource from the set of CSI-RS resources that is mapped to the first RO, and transmitting the first PRACH in the first RO using the first spatial setting.

    Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for a sidelink synchronization signal block (S-SSB) structure for larger subcarrier spacing. A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system includes determining a number M of consecutive orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols for a sidelink synchronization signals and physical sidelink broadcast channel (S-SS/PSBCH) block and determining a slot group of S consecutive slots including a number NSSB of S-SS/PSBCH blocks. The method further includes determining a time domain pattern for a number NperiodS-SSB of S-SS/PSBCH blocks within a period and receiving the S-SS/PSBCH block based on the time domain pattern.

    Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for flexible resource allocation for sidelink transmissions. A method of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system includes receiving higher layer parameters including a bitmap; determining a first number S>1; and determining a sidelink resource pool based on the bitmap and the first number S, wherein bits in the bitmap indicate whether a group of S consecutive slots are included in the sidelink resource pool. The method further includes determining a second number L; determining L consecutive orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols within the S consecutive slots, wherein the L consecutive OFDM symbols are used for a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) or a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH); and receiving the PSSCH or the PSCCH.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for use of flexible starting locations for SL transmissions in a wireless communication system. A method of user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system operating with a shared spectrum channel access includes determining a set of multiple orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols in a slot and performing a channel access procedure over a channel. The method further includes transmitting a sidelink transmission over the channel, starting from an OFDM symbol within the set of multiple OFDM symbols in the slot, upon successfully performing the channel access procedure before the OFDM symbol. The set of multiple OFDM symbols in the slot may be determined based on a higher layer configuration or pre-configurations.

A method includes receiving first information indicating use of same power and continuous phase for transmission of a channel over a number of slots and second information indicating a first TA value. The method includes determining a second slot for adjusting a time for the transmission of the channel based on the first TA value, a first power for the transmission of the channel in slots before the second slots, and a second power for the transmission of the channel in slots starting from the second slot. The method further includes adjusting the time for the transmission of the channel in the second slot based on the first TA value and transmitting the channel with a first power in slots before the second slot and with a second power in slots starting from the second slot.

    Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for determination of available slots for uplink transmission. A method for operating a UE includes receiving a configuration for symbols as uplink (UL), downlink (DL), or flexible (F) and a number of repetitions for transmission of a channel. The method further includes determining an availability of a slot for transmission of a repetition of the channel and a redundancy version (RV) from a set of RVs, starting from a first RV in a set of RVs and sequentially cycling over RVs in the set of RVs. The slot is available when the repetition would not be over a DL symbol. The RV is updated when the slot is available. The RV is not updated when the slot is not available. The method further includes transmitting the repetition of the channel in the slot using the RV when the slot is available.
