Abstract: An electronic device according to various embodiments may include a camera module. An image sensor of the camera module may include a first pixel group configured to output phase difference data of a first direction and a second pixel group configured to output phase difference data of a second direction. The image sensor according to various embodiments may be configured to obtain the phase difference data for two or more directions without increasing the number of analog-to-digital converting operations. In addition to the embodiment described above, various embodiments are possible.

Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The at least one processor is configured to acquire a first image frame from the image sensor, determine a photographing environment of the electronic device, based on the first image frame, and, in response to the photographing environment corresponding to a first photographing environment, control the image sensor to acquire analog data through the individual pixels, and provide first digital data digitally converted from the analog data with first sensitivity, and second digital data digitally converted from the analog data with second sensitivity which is higher than the first sensitivity, and acquire a second image frame which follows the first image frame, based on the first digital data and the second digital data.

Abstract: According to an embodiment disclosed in this specification, an electronic device may include a camera including an image sensor, a display panel, a display driver integrated circuit (DDI) that drives the display panel at a first frame rate, a memory, and a processor operatively connected to the camera, the display panel, the DDI, and the memory. The DDI may drive the display panel in a plurality of cycles to output one frame corresponding to the first frame rate. The camera may perform exposure of the image sensor in a section, in which one or more lines among lines constituting the display panel do not emit light, in the plurality of cycles. The memory may store instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to determine illuminance around the electronic device using image data according to the exposure. Moreover, various embodiment found through the disclosure are possible.

Abstract: A method and an electronic device are provided in which, in a first unit pixel of an image sensor, a first analog-to-digital conversion (ADC) is performed by reading out a first photodiode (PD) group and a second PD group that is adjacent to the first PD group in a first direction. A third ADC is performed by reading out a fourth PD group that is adjacent to the second PD group in the second direction.
