摘要: Provided is a method, performed by an augmented reality (AR) device, of measuring a user's vision. The method includes: obtaining, by using a camera of the AR device, a background image including an image of at least one physical object; identifying an edge of the image of the at least one physical object in the background image; determining a first region for measuring the vision of the user on the background image based on the edge of the image; determining a second region corresponding to the first region on a display of the AR device; outputting a virtual object for measuring the vision of the user to the second region; obtaining a user input signal for vision measurement after the outputting the virtual object; and determining a vision prescription value of the user based on the user input signal.

摘要: Provided are an apparatus and method for measuring a visual acuity (VA) by using a focus-tunable lens. The apparatus includes a display engine, an image combiner, a focus-tunable lens provided on a path of the light guided by the image combiner, an input device, and a processor configured to control the focus-tunable lens to assign different first and second optical powers to first and second lens regions, respectively, on a lens surface of the focus-tunable lens, control the display engine to display a VA measuring image through first and second output regions of the image combiner, control the input device to receive a user's input with respect to the VA measuring image, specify one optical power of the first and second optical powers based on the user's input, and determine a VA of a user based on the specified optical power.

摘要: Provided is an augmented reality device including a variable focus lens, an eye tracking sensor configured to emit light to eyes of a user, receive the light reflected by the eyes of the user, and detect a plurality of feature points based on the light reflected by the eyes of the user, and at least one processor configured to obtain information with respect to eye relief, which is a distance between the eyes of the user and the variable focus lens, based on position information of the plurality of feature points detected by the eye tracking sensor, obtain information with respect to a gaze point at which gaze directions of the eyes of the user converge, and an interpupillary distance of the eyes of the user, based on the plurality of feature points, and determine a position of a focal region of the variable focus lens based on the information with respect to the eye relief, the gaze point, and the interpupillary distance.
