Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention relate to a device and a method for detecting a black bar in video content in an electronic device. An electronic device comprises a display device, a processor, and a memory automatically connected with the processor, wherein the memory, when executed, can store instructions for allowing the processor to: play video content on the basis of a request relating to the playing of the video content; acquire, on the basis of the request relating to the playing of the video content, time information relating to the detection period of a black bar included in the video content; detect, on the basis of the time information, the black bar by using at least one image frame of the video content included in the detection period, when the detection period arrives while the video content is played; and adjust, on the basis of the black bar included in the video content and the resolution of the display device, the size of an image area of the video content being played. Other embodiments are also possible.

Abstract: According to an embodiment of the disclosure, a motor assembly may include a stator including a coil; a rotor accommodated inside the stator and configured to rotate; first and second housings coupled to first and second sides of the stator; an impeller disposed in a first direction of the first housing and configured to rotate together with the rotor by being coupled to one side of the rotor; a cover having an opening through which air is introduced by rotation of the impeller, and configured to protect the impeller; and a heat dissipation member surrounding at least a portion of an outer surface of the stator and configured to reduce heat generated in the motor assembly as the rotor rotates. Therefore, it is possible to minimize vibration caused by the rotation of the motor, thereby reduce noise, and lower heat generated inside the motor. Other various embodiments are possible.

Abstract: An electronic device includes first and second housings rotatable relative to each other, a fan inside the housing, and a hinge structure rotatably connecting the first and second housings to each other. The hinge structure includes a vent member rotating together with rotation of the first and second housings. The vent member includes first and second portions which guide first air flow between intake and exhaust openings together with operation of the fan. The first and second housings which face each other define a first angle therebetween, the first and second housings which are maximally rotated define a second angle therebetween, and the first and second housings forming a third angle between the first angle and the second angle, rotates the vent member to dispose the first and second vent portions together guiding air flow in different directions, relative to the front side of the electronic device.

Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a memory and a processor operatively connected to the memory, wherein the processor may obtain a maximum allowable bit rate of the electronic device, determine a maximum quantization value for encoding an image composed of at least one frame, obtain a first bitrate by encoding a first frame set of the image with a quantization value equal to or less than the maximum quantization value, increase the maximum quantization value in response to the obtained first bitrate exceeding the maximum allowable bitrate, decrease the maximum quantization value in response to the obtained first bitrate being less than or equal to the maximum allowable bitrate, obtain a second bitrate by encoding a second frame set subsequent to the first frame set of the image based on the increased or decreased maximum quantization value, increase the maximum quantization value in response to the obtained second bitrate exceeding the maximum allowable bitrate, and decrease the maximum quantization value in response to the obtained second bitrate being less than or equal to the maximum allowable bitrate.
