Abstract: An electronic device may include a reception circuit configured to generate a plurality of reception data bits based on a voltage level of an analog signal received through a link, and to generate a plurality of bit reliability values indicating probabilities of error occurrence of the plurality of reception data bits based on the voltage level of the analog signal, an alignment circuit configured to group the plurality of reception data bits into a plurality of error correction code (ECC) symbols, and to generate a plurality of symbol reliability values indicating probabilities of error occurrence of the plurality of ECC symbols based on the plurality of bit reliability values, and a decoding circuit configured to correct errors of the plurality of ECC symbols based on the plurality of symbol reliability values.

Abstract: An integrated circuit includes a system memory, a security processor and a non-security processor. An attack against the integrated circuit is made more difficult based on using a key generated by the security processor. The security processor, as an example, reads a program image from the system memory and generates the key based on the program image. In some instances, a dedicated communication channel is provided for communication between the non-security processor and the security processor. The dedicated channel may be used to provide the key to the non-security processor for performance of a security operation.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an electronic device, such as a system on chip, that may perform firmware updates based on user consent. The system on chip includes a nonvolatile memory (NVM), a main processor, a security NVM, and a security processor. The nonvolatile memory (NVM) stores first firmware and a user permission indicator. The main processor Loads the first firmware to boot a security processor. The security NVM contains first version information. The security processor compares version information of the first firmware to the first version information based on the user permission indicator and executes the first firmware in response to the matching of the comparison result. In some examples, the security processor is implemented on the same chip as the main processor.

Abstract: A display device is provided. A portion of display pixels are configured to emit light in a fingerprint recognition mode. The image sensor includes pixels, at least a portion of the pixels are phase detection pixels. The image sensor generates a fingerprint image signal and a fingerprint phase signal based on reflected light received while the portion of display pixels emit light. The main processor is further configured to perform an anti-spoofing operation or a fingerprint authentication operation based on the fingerprint image signal and the fingerprint phase signal.
