    Abstract: A display device is disclosed that includes pixels, a memory, and a degradation compensator. The pixels include light emitting elements. The memory is operable to store degradation information including degradation degrees of the light emitting elements. The degradation compensator is operable to receive the degradation information and generate output grayscales by changing each of input grayscales of the pixels in proportion to each of the degradation degrees. The degradation compensator includes a degradation information changer for changing the degradation information by decreasing a degradation degree having a variation greater than a threshold value among variations of the degradation degrees.

    Abstract: A display device and a method of driving the same. The display device includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels, a degradation compensator configured to output compensation data based on age values of the plurality of pixels and an input grayscale value of input image data, a scan driver configured to supply a scan signal to the display panel, and a data driver configured to supply a data signal corresponding to the compensation data to the display panel. The degradation compensator includes a first compensation unit configured to generate a first compensation grayscale value with reference to the input grayscale value and a first age value, and a second compensation unit configured to generate a second compensation grayscale value with reference to the first compensation grayscale value and the first age value.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including a first data line, a second data line, and a pixel, the pixel including a first sub-pixel coupled to the first data line, and a second sub-pixel coupled to the second data line, a light stress compensator configured to generate a first data voltage control signal for the first sub-pixel based on a second data value of input image data for the second sub-pixel, in response to a first data value of input image data for the first sub-pixel being equal to or less than a first reference value, and a data driver configured to generate a first data signal based on the first data value for the first sub-pixel, to provide a first data voltage to the first data line, and to vary the first data voltage based on the first data voltage control signal.

    Abstract: A display device including: a display panel; and a signal controller which controls signals for driving the display panel, where the signal controller includes a representative value generator which sequentially operates a portion of image data of one frame, where the representative value generator moves a last position digit into another position digit of the portion of the image data and generates a representative value representing a portion of a frame image corresponding to the portion of the image data; a storage portion which stores the representative value therein; and a comparator which compares the representative values of present and prior frames to determine whether the portion of the frame image is a still image or a motion picture, and the signal controller controls the signals for driving the display panel such that a driving frequency for the still image is lower than a driving frequency for the motion picture.
