Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a light guide plate, an optical film, a quantum dot film, a display panel, a light source unit, and an optical filter. The light guide plate includes a light incident surface and a light emission surface. The optical film is disposed in the light emission surface on the light guide plate, and has a first refractive index. The quantum dot film is disposed on the optical film. The display panel is disposed on the quantum dot film, and displays an image. The light source unit is spaced apart from the light incident surface of the light guide plate, and emits a light. The optical filter is disposed in the light incident surface such that the optical filter is spaced apart from the light source unit, and reflects a first light, which has an angle of incidence greater than a predetermined angle of incidence, among the light.
