Abstract: A contrast enhancement device included in a display device includes an analysis circuit which receives input image data as input data in a normal mode, receives input test data as the input data in a diagnosis mode, and determines a contrast enhancement coefficient by analyzing the input data, a process circuit which generates output data by performing a contrast enhancement process on the input data based on the contrast enhancement coefficient, where the output data in the normal mode is output image data corresponding to the input image data, and the output data in the diagnosis mode is output test data corresponding to the input test data, and a diagnosis circuit which outputs the output image data in the normal mode, and generates diagnosis result data for the contrast enhancement device by comparing the output test data with reference test data in the diagnosis mode.
