摘要: A system for rendering color images on an electro-optic display when the electro-optic display has a color gamut with a limited palette of primary colors, and/or the gamut is poorly structured (i.e., not a spheroid or obloid). The system uses an iterative process to identify the best color for a given pixel from a palette that is modified to diffuse the color error over the entire electro-optic display. The system additionally accounts for variations in color that are caused by cross-talk between nearby pixels.

摘要: A display driver integrated circuit (IC) includes a data line driver that drives a first data line connected with a first pixel of a display in response to output image data, and a dithering circuit that receives a brightness value of the display, calculates a first reference grayscale value corresponding to the brightness value using a first group of threshold grayscale values, receives input image data with a first grayscale value, which corresponds to the first pixel, compares the first grayscale value and the first reference grayscale value, and generates the output image data having not the first grayscale value but an output grayscale value when the first grayscale value is smaller than the first reference grayscale value.

摘要: A display apparatus and an image data processing method thereof are provided. The display apparatus includes a first display panel, a second display panel and a backlight module. The image processing method includes: receiving image data; detecting an ambient temperature and an ambient brightness to obtain a detection result; when the ambient temperature is lower than a preset temperature value, selecting the image data to be divided into a plurality block data by display location or gray level range according to the ambient brightness, and performing a blur process on the block data to generate adjusted image data; when the ambient temperature is not lower than the preset temperature value, performing a binary process on the image data to generate the adjusted image data; and driving the second display panel according to the adjust image data.

摘要: Methods and apparatus to implement aging compensation for emissive displays with subpixel rendering are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a converter to convert red-green-blue (RGB) data to subpixel rendering (SPR) data. The RGB data is indicative of an image to be rendered on an emissive display screen. The apparatus includes a compensator to apply pixel correction values to the SPR data to generate corrected SPR data to compensate for pixel degradation. The apparatus further includes a usage accumulator to track pixel usage based on the corrected SPR data. The apparatus also includes a correction calculator to calculate the pixel correction values based on the pixel usage.

摘要: There is provided a display device that is capable of suppressing occurrence of brightness drop which is caused by refresh of a display image during pause driving. In a normal driving mode, input image data (SsD0) according to a continuous tone method is supplied to a source driver (310) through a data selector (230) as an image signal (SsD) for driver. On the other hand, in a low-frequency driving mode in which pause driving is performed, the input image data (SsD0) is converted into dithered input image data (SsD1) by a dithering processing circuit (220), and is supplied to the source driver (310) through the data selector (230) as the image signal (SsD) for driver. A gradation of the dithered input image data (SsD1) is represented in a pseudo manner by an area coverage modulation method by using two values of a maximum value and a minimum value that can be taken as the gradation value of the input image data (SsD0).

The optical device includes the following: a frame defining a pair of eye openings and including a pair of arms configured to extend over the ears of a user of the optical device; a temperature monitoring system configured to monitor a distribution of heat within the frame; a display assembly configured to display content to a user of the optical device; and a processor configured to receive temperature data from the temperature monitoring system and to adjust an output of the display assembly based on variation in the distribution of heat within the frame.

摘要: The present invention has an object to provide a video signal control technique capable of suppressing deterioration in display quality of a display device in which FRC is employed. A video signal control method for display device according to the present invention includes: (a) acquiring coordinate information and time information in a display screen of a display device; (b) selecting, with reference to an LUT storing a plurality of FRC parameters, a FRC parameter corresponding to the coordinate information and the time information; and (c) outputting the selected FRC parameter as a FRC parameter for controlling red and blue pixels and a FRC parameter for controlling green pixels opposite in phase to the FRC parameter for controlling red and blue pixels.
