Abstract: A display device includes: a display panel, which includes a pixel; a voltage generator, which generates a driving voltage for an operation of the display panel; and a driving controller, which receives an input image signal and outputs an output image signal obtained by compensating for the input image signal based on a characteristic of the display panel. The driving controller includes: a control unit, which outputs an error correction value corresponding to a voltage difference between a voltage level of the driving voltage provided from the voltage generator and a voltage level stored in advance in the control unit when the driving voltage is provided from the voltage generator; and an image correction unit. which converts the input image signal into the output image signal based on the error correction value.

Abstract: A display device include: a display panel including first to third pixels, a data driver for providing first to third data voltages to the first to third pixels, and a scan driver for providing first and second scan signals to each of the first to third pixels. The scan driver performs a first active scan operation of sequentially providing the first and second scan signals to the first to third pixels in a first frame period, and perform a dummy scan operation of sequentially providing the second scan signal to the first to third pixels after the first active scan operation. The data driver changes a voltage level of at least one of the first to third data voltages in an overlap period in which the dummy scan operation and a second active scan operation of a second frame period are simultaneously performed.

Abstract: A system for compensating a stain in a display device including a display panel including pixels and a driving controller, an imaging unit, and an inspection device including a defect characteristic classifying unit, and a compensation data generating unit. The inspection device generates first measurement data and second measurement data. The inspection device compares second image data with compensation data that is based on the first and second measurement data, and the defect characteristic classifying unit classifies, as a first defect pixel or a second defect pixel a plurality of pixels, based on the first measurement data, the second measurement data, and the second image data. The compensation data generating unit generates a first compensating value for compensating for the first defect pixel in a first pixel unit, and a second compensating value for compensating for the second defect pixel in a second pixel unit different from the first unit.

Abstract: A display device is disclosed that includes a display panel, a memory storing compensation signals respectively corresponding to blocks of the display panel, and a driving controller receiving an input image signal, compensating for the input image signal based on the compensation signals, and outputting an output image signal. Some of the first row compensation signals are stored in the first memory, and the others thereof are stored in the second memory.
