Abstract: A display device includes: a display panel, which includes a pixel; a voltage generator, which generates a driving voltage for an operation of the display panel; and a driving controller, which receives an input image signal and outputs an output image signal obtained by compensating for the input image signal based on a characteristic of the display panel. The driving controller includes: a control unit, which outputs an error correction value corresponding to a voltage difference between a voltage level of the driving voltage provided from the voltage generator and a voltage level stored in advance in the control unit when the driving voltage is provided from the voltage generator; and an image correction unit. which converts the input image signal into the output image signal based on the error correction value.

Abstract: A system for compensating a stain in a display device including a display panel including pixels and a driving controller, an imaging unit, and an inspection device including a defect characteristic classifying unit, and a compensation data generating unit. The inspection device generates first measurement data and second measurement data. The inspection device compares second image data with compensation data that is based on the first and second measurement data, and the defect characteristic classifying unit classifies, as a first defect pixel or a second defect pixel a plurality of pixels, based on the first measurement data, the second measurement data, and the second image data.
